All songwriters from the storytelling Folk and Operatic to Scott Joplin onwards.
But mostly songwriters who take you somewhere emotionally, spiritually or fantastically..whether they use Poet Laureate style language or simple local tongue.
Oh Yeah...and Alan Williamson who unknowingly (or perhaps otherwise) is probably responsible for everything that I'm doing musically at this moment in time.
I am a singer/songwriter who writes and performs from the heart. My songs are of varying styles and I prefer to let the music dictate rather than falling into the genre trap. After fronting several different bands over the years, I currently write and perform on a solo basis.
The last years have seen a series of successful live performances and have culminated in the release of my debut album 'Unaffected' which has received rave reviews and serious air time on both home grown and international radio. The album is a presentation of songs stripped to the bare bones and is without the sometimes unnecessary over-production that can be responsible for masking the true nature of the song.
A follow up EP 'Animated' was released early 2009. A 5 track CD with a fuller sound, this EP has also received rave reviews and radio airplay.
A second album is currently near completion and will be released shortly.
