Methinks I shall stop for now. Can you tell I love movies yet? I'll keep adding to this as time passes on. If I repeated a movie I apologize. It was probably good and I watched it many more times than twice anyways. I wonder how much space is available for this section. *ponder*
  • Television

I don't much care for television except to watch movies on it. Even with Cable or Satellite TV or whatever. There is really nothing but CRAP on the tube. So I'll pass. I usually only watch the PBS, Discovery Channel, Sci-Fi Channel, Cartoon Network, Comedy Central and Movie Channels. Occasionally Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis, Southpark, Simpsons, King of the Hill, Star Trek, Farscape, Brimstone, Dresden Files, Heroes, Life, Dexter. But not much is really on TV worth watching.
  • Books

I am a self taught voracious speed reader. So I'm constantly on the lookout for new authors to read as my Faves unfortunately do not write fast enough to keep up. Here's a list of some of my favorite authors and some of their works:

    I'll stop here for now
  • Heroes

I don't really have any heroes. Heroes are just your normal average everyday person that get thrust into an extraordinary situation and just proceed to do the best they can hoping it will all work out. I hope that if I am ever in such a position that I do as good a job as the last "Hero" did. You can never tell until you are faced with such a situation how you will react.

About me:

First things, first

My name is Walt not Xander Thomas. At least not legally speaking anyways. Xander Thomas was the name of a character I used to portray for nearly 3 years in a Live Action Role Playing(LARP) for Vampire the Masquerade game out in Sacramento. Think Drama/Acting group, Dinner Theater without the Dinner, Interactive Choose Your Own Adventure Story, or A play without a script. I used the name for a long time so I still answer to the name. As well as a couple others now.

During that time my life was crappy & playing that character allowed me to deal with the stress and vent in a productive non-going postal manner. So I continue to use the name online as a tribute even though the character is long since retired now. If you really want to know more about it all you have to do is ask me and I'll tell you.

It was an enjoyable part of my life. The character I was last portraying was Quentin James Reymyr a Glasswalker Garou in a Werewolf the Apocalypse LARP. Sadly, he met an untimely demise during a story line to which he was the main character. *laugh* It was greatly amusing. If you want to know more about it, you have but to ask.

Anything no matter what it is, JUST ASK ME!

I'm not your average guy. I'm a Night Owl, I dislike early mornings. I can get up early if I have to but I prefer not to. I'm eccentric (no I'm not rich, but eccentric nonetheless), eclectic and just plain strange according to some people. Accordingly my sense of humor is strange & dark. I find the oddest and simplest things to be amusing at times. I'm the shy and silent type until I get to know you. Then I have a tendency to ramble off on various tangents once I'm comfortable around you. Like I'm rambling here for example. Probably just overcompensating for being so quiet when I was younger. *shrug*

I love watching movies at home or the theater and I watch them a lot. I'm a movie junkie. I'll watch nearly anything but, I prefer sci-fi, fantasy, action, suspense & Anime. I don't much care for horror films because with my sense of humor I find them to be more amusing than horrifying. I consider them Darwin Awards Movies (IE: stupid peopld doing stupid things and getting killed for it) *shrug* I'm weird I know.

Next topic!

Shopping: I'll go shopping with a lady no matter the store. (Victoria's Secret, Gap, Wal-mart, Supermarket) Doesn't matter a store is a store. I also would have no problem holding my lady's purse. I'm quite secure with my masculinity thank you very much. I really don't see what all the fuss is about. Holding my ladies purse in public is not going to ruin my reputation. Since I don't care much about reputations anyways. Besides if I'm holding my lady's purse that would imply that I have a lady to hold it for now, would it not? *grin* So piss off.

Drama: I can't emphasize this enough... I AM SO VERY ANTI-DRAMA. I HATE, HATE, HATE drama. I abhor the rumor-mongering, backbiting and petty BULLSHIT that goes hand in hand with drama. It's stupid... I don't care what so & so is wearing, is doing, or whom they are doing or whatever unless it somehow involves me. In which case I was there so I don't need you telling me about it afterward. If you're into drama you get one warning. DO NOT drag me into it or you will truly regret it I promise you.

Reputation Vs. Honor

"Reputation is how others perceive you & what you do.
Honor is how you perceive yourself & how you choose to acknowledge personal responsibility for your actions."

Since it's my opinion and the opinion of those I hold dear that matter. I don't really care what others think of my behavior or me. Then again I never was one of the popular kids nor did I ever care to be. I'm *ME* deal with it. If you don't like that then go elsewhere. Sadly, as the world is mostly perception oriented so that doesn't make me very popular. However as I do work in Corporate America I do play the part they expect but only at work & because they pay me enough to make it worth my while. You have to do what you must to survive.

I've unfortunately been single & alone for a while now its really TICKING me off. Mostly my fault, an 8 year tour in the Marine Corps and then moving to follow the jobs to survive. I intend to change that now. So here I am now trying to have a Life in Scottsdale, AZ. Whatever a "Life" is anyhow, I'm still trying to figure that one out. Can anyone give me any clues? Whatever it may be I hope to find a lady to share in its exploration.

As for my preferred style of attire? I had a penchant for black clothing as you can tell. I still do. Typically Boots, Slacks, T-shirt or Asian style collared shirt, Jacket or Trench Coat. Remember Eric Draven from "The Crow" or Neo in "The Matrix"?? Well they dress like me. =) More or less anyhow. I've been dressing that way since Jr. High (mid 80's).

Mostly because I can't color coordinate & never cared to learn, until recently anyways. Besides black goes with anything & it does means I usually spend less time deciding what to wear. Most of my wardrobe is black or very dark colors. I do have some non-black attire, but its mainly Job Interview suits and ties.
*shrug* Clothes are just costumes anyways. I like black and that's all that really matters right?

My past roommate Lisa informed me that I really should start to wear other colors and learn to color coordinate. So I've been occasionally taking pointers from her. *smirk* Her feminine side finally blindsided her while she was on vacation in Mexico visiting her sister. I trust her opinion most of the time. *grin*

I'm not Goth, Mod or any of those damn stereotypes. I'm ME damn it. Do us both a favor and quit trying to put me in your idiotic stereotypical definition boxes.

Who I'd like to meet:

I'm seeking a Local Lady who's willing to help me relearn how to have fun out on the town and/or fun spending time with just each other. It's been a very long time since I've done either. *smirk*

Yes, among other things when I said "Fun spending time with each other" that includes eventually Making out, Foreplay, Lovemaking, Physical Intimacy, Sex, etc...

That said, SEX is NOT the be all, end all of a relationship or life. It is a part of most relationships. It is something that I do miss since I've done without for quite some time now. This I would like to change at my earliest opportunity. *shrug* I'm probably going to get some flak for saying that but oh well. It's the flat out honest truth. Mind you it is so NOT the only thing I'm looking for. As I don't consider sex to be a casual thing. I am most certainly not expecting nor pushing for it on any dates. The time for that will be up to the lady when she's ready. It's a much more enjoyable activity with someone you care about and/or love it can be a very special experience indeed.

Sex is a healthy, natural activity and can be a very mutually enjoyable experience for both parties. Personally, I'm all for mutual satisfaction as it makes it that much more enjoyable for me to see to my partners needs. Whatever those needs might be and however long it might take me. I'm a guy and we get an endorphin rush when we see a lady smile or otherwise make her happy. *smile*

Lust is a natural feeling which is all part and parcel of being human. The choice is whether or not to act on those lustful feelings in a safe manner. Satisfying ones needs and the needs of your partner.

Love is something a great many of us hope and strive for. Yet, sadly most don't find it and in not immediately finding it are disheartened and give up hope. Even with that being the case we should never give up hope for finding love. If we give up hope, what reason is there to live for? As for myself, I refuse to give up. I keep searching ever hopeful. I suppose that makes me a romantic at heart. If so, so be it.

While I do hope to find the love of my life. I'm also looking for local friends or just people to hang out with and just generally have fun with. I haven't really been out much in the past years. I've been too worried about survival and paying the bills. I'm looking to change that and get out more. I'm sick to death of just surviving. I want to actually get out and live. Not just eke out a living and just simply exist.

So if you just want a penpal, someone to talk to, chill out with, see a live band or concert with, watch movies with, just get a cup of tea/coffee, hang out and/or possibly more.

Add me or Write me if you like, I will reply to all genuine messages I get.

My Requirements in a lady:
(No negotiations on these, sorry they are *MY* preferences & I don't see them as being unreasonable)

LOCAL! (This means within 50 miles NOT same planet/continent)
Minimum 21 years old
Single, Unmarried, Unattached
Monogamous (I don't cheat, nor should you)
In Good Health

Bonuses in a Lady:
(Nice, but not required. I'm not seeking a female version of myself. We'd probably kill each other *smirk*)

Similar Interests
(IE: Enjoys Movies, Books, Literature, Music, Concerts, Live Bands, etc)
Patient
Persistent
Sense of humor
Plus all the other little quirks that make up the whole interesting person.

I mention patience & persistence because I'm initially a shy guy. It just takes some time for me to warm up to a person, especially a lady. I have a severe tendency to over-think things initially. Worrying about "what if?...". Like what if I say or do the wrong thing, then I end up stressing myself out and not saying or doing anything at all. Just keep asking me questions until I feel comfortable. Which usually doesn't take long & besides I don't mind at all. It'll break me out of my "What if?" mindset & besides I love answering questions. Ask me anything and I'll tell you, no matter the question. Be it personal, off the wall or whatever. I will answer it 100% honestly, if asked. The stranger the question the more entertaining. Be Warned! If you really don't want to know the answer, then don't ask me the question. I'm more of a listener anyhow. However, once I've warmed up to you I do have a tendency ramble on. +grin+

A Shy Former Marine... Trained to kill, yet afraid of walking up to a lady and starting a conversation, sad & funny isn't it? Not from my point of view and before you ask NO, I was lucky enough to not to have use any of that training to kill anyone.

*sigh* Hell, I've been out of the dating scene for a long while now. It's been too damn long and I'm sick of being so alone and lonely.

I miss having a lady to spend time with, to mercilessly lavish with affection, cuddle, send candy/flowers to, to hold, to talk with, and just plain visit for no reason other than to see her. Mind you I'm not a clingy type of fellow. I won't be paranoid of who you hang out with or where you are at all times. I just miss having a lady who actually gave a damn about ME. Not my car, my possessions, or how much money I make. I'm looking for a lady who wants to spend time with ME not my things.

If you think you might be the lady for me, please drop me a line & I will respond within a day.

Thanks for sticking it through and reading it all!

~Walt aka Xander Thomas
