Xandra van Rossem grew up in a musical and artistic environment and as a little girl she sings with her favorite examples as Carmen McRae, Ernestine Anderson and Shirley Horn. Her father, Hans van Rossem, was a Jazz musician and he accompanied artists as Rita Reys, Pia Beck and Toon Hermans. He recognizes his daughters talent and introduces her in the Dutch Jazz scene.
By together acting with her father, Xandra sings already professional at the club circuit by the age of fourteen. She has worked with great musicians as; Wim Overgaauw, Harry Verbeke, Gijs Hendriks, Rob Agerbeek, Tony Overwater, Yuri Honing, Mike del Ferro, Carlo de Wijs, Eddy C, Saskia Laroo, Johan Clement, Gerard Kleijn, Hans Mantel and many more.
She sings mainly mainstream Jazz and standards from the "Great American Songbook". 'I love mainstream', she says concerned. Her improvisation talent makes her actions quite spontaneous. With a fantastic timing, natural voice and her large musical talent she just easy sings mainstream, blues and beautiful ballads.
Dutch reviewer Jan Rensen wrote:
"From the first moment I heard Xandra singing it became clear that the Jazz blood runs through her veins, as a result of a live action. She has so much grip on the idiom that is obvious. Therefore she stands above the songs that she sings: she has the leadership and the songs become almost subordinate. With that skill each repertoire becomes more personal".
Xandra van Rossem was in various radio programs at broadcasting stations; Wereldomroep, CNM, NPS, interviews for newspapers and television.
Xandra van Rossem has reached on very young age 23 years of stage experience, she is an excellent performer and artist. Xandra knows how to involve and interact with her public on spontaneous manner.

Well, remember that computers are just a tool. I actually privilege acoustic instruments, and try to avoid computers using it only to masterize and keyboards (I actually prefer separating the studio experience by recording on a physical multitrack).
Hoi Xandra, JIJ bedankt! :-) Ik zal je zeker op de hoogte houden, via Hyves, oké? En ik ben nog steeds van plan een keertje naar jouw optreden te komen! Groetjes, Agnieszka Angelika
