Xanthus, Composer/Performer...
Xanthus is the pseudonym for Clifford Dowding who has been composing and performing music since 1982. He has always enjoyed writing and composing and owns his own MIDI based studio. He has played in many venues in within the Brighton and Sussex area with his trademark colored jacket, his big frame and bigger sound. His shows are always accompanied with a spectacular light show that includes lasers, smoke and strobe effects. He also plays the bodhran and amongst all this technology he manages to incorporate the instrument within his live show. He is always looking for other interesting ways to improve his act and is proud of the fact that not one show that he has performed has ever been the same. This is so that anyone who regularly attends them will not get bored with seeing the same old act. To date, he has produced three albums: 'Starburst Dreams' (2004), 'Antediluvian' (a compilation of work recorded during 1986 and 2004) and 'Ghosts Of The West Pier' (2007). The Ghost album has 12 tracks and is much more varied in genre than the previous releases.
