Music
a lot of jrock and jpop....Buck-Tick, Hyde, L'arc En Ciel, Plastic Tree, Do As Infinity, Utada, F.I.R. (Chinese rock/pop but..still..:)), etc. I also like Perfect Circle, David Bowie, and several Western rock bands. Various classical composers, Nobou Uematsu (composer but not technically classical, I suppose), some electric, techno-ish music (have to be in the mood for it, and not a lot of it.. some Daft Punk, and a couple others, from time to time), Rob Dougen, The Cure, NIN, Enigma, and various others.
Movies
again, some Japanese stuff...Casshern, Moon Child, Kagen No Tsuki, Dark Water, Ringu (and the American version), the Grudge (Ju-On)...also some Chinese stuff..Shaolin Soccer, House of Flying Daggers, Kung Fu Hustle. As for anime.. just about any, really. I watch anything that's on Adult Swim (cartoon network), Studio Ghibli stuff.. all of it, I guess. Umm what else...the Lord of the Rings trilogy, the Devil's Advocate, Kill Bill, The Matrix, Hero, Van Hellsing, .. all kinds of fantasy, sci-fi, and some horror (mostly only asian horror movies, though; they are much better than american ones, imo).
