About me:

Well, since my page is private and I accepted you, then I probably know you from somewhere. Whether you are a friend from somewhere online or even in real life (shocking!! i know) or family I'll make you read something about me even if you already know it. I gotta fill up this page with something...

I am originally from WV and currently live in Virginia Beach, VA. Been here in Virginia for about twenty years now so I guess this feels like my home; though I wouldn't mind living out west in CA or AZ one day. I used to work for Sears as a manager for several years; but now I am running my own photography business. We shoot all sorts of portraits and events, including weddings and you can check out some of my work on my "work myspace" or my actual website: jeremyshanephotography.com.

Unfortunately, other than trying to get my business started I don't do a lot of other exciting things right now. I miss all the friends I used to see everyday when I had a regular job; so sometimes I try to go out with them. And I also picked up a book i was writing several years ago and started working on it again, so hopefully I'll get somewhere with that in the coming year.

Interests

General
Obviously Photography is a big interest of mine and something I enjoy as a hobby as well as for a living. I am also working on my book in spare time to try and get that done within the next year. Music, Reading, occasionally playing some Xbox and hanging out with my friends occupy the rest of my time.
Music
I like all kinds of music, Prince and Queen are my favorites though. I could probably list groups endlessly and still forget some; but I'll try a few: Skunk Anansie, Evanescence, Foo Fighters, Fall Out Boy, Hanson, John Mayer, Justin Timberlake, Linkin Park, Los Lonely Boys, Maroon 5, Chili Peppers...and like I said, tons more I can't think of and don't have room to name and you probably wouldn't want to read them all anyhow.
Movies
Hmmm, movies go kind of like music, I just like it if it's good. Some of my favs are Lord of the Rings trilogy, the Original Star Wars trilogy, EuroTrip, Replacements, Princess Bride, Robin Hood, Braveheart, Gladiator, etc. etc.
Television
My TV watching is a bit weird. Usually the Daily Show and Colbert Report are the things I watch consistently, other than that, I watch the news a lot, or usually leave sitcom reruns on in the background while I'm working (Seinfield, Friends, King of Queens, etc) If I sit and watch, it's usually a drama: Heroes, Shield, Monk, Psych, Lost, etc.
Books
Like any good book; but I lean toward Fantasy stories. Some of my favorite authors are George RR Martin, Tolkien, Crichton, Dan Brown, Robert Jordan, RA Salvatore, Paul Kidd, Paul S Kemp, JK Rowling and I'm sure there are more that I've forgotten.

The photos on my page aren't that great, but I had a major computer crash a while back and lost about 3 years worth of photos. Needless to say I'm have to start rebuilding my "colletion".

Wow, talk about a blast from the past...so how have you been? I see from your page that your into Photography...excellent. Oddly enough I teach photography and visual arts here in good ol' WV.
