La formació actual de Xavier Dotras Trio la constitueixen Toni Pujol al contrabaix, Cesar Martínez a la bateria i Xavier Dotras al piano.
”Retrospectives”, enregistrat els dies 5, 6, i 7 d’Abril de 2004, és el primer projecte discogràfic de Xavier Dotras Trio. Per a aquest enregistrament es va comptar també amb la col•laboració especial del prestigiós saxofonista i flautista basc Gorka Benítez.
“Retrospectives” va obtenir la segona posició en els PREMIS ENDERROCK 2005 dins la categoria “millor nova proposta de jazz”.
”Nit” és el segon CD del grup. Va ser enregistrat els dies 31 de Maig, 1 i 2 d’Abril de 2006 als estudis “El Magatzem” i editat per la discogràfica PICAP.
El CD va comptar pel seu enregistrament amb els membres habituals del trio i també hi van col•laborar Gorka Benítez (saxo i flauta), Joan Abril (guitarra), Xavier Casellas (veu) i Juan Carlos Narzekian (saxo).
Un dels temes de "Nit" ha estat inclòs pel prestigiós crític Juan Claudio Cifuentes en el CD "Jazz from Catalonia" encarregat per l'"Institut Català d'Indústries Culturals" i distribuït per les revistes JAÇ (Catalunya), "JazzMan" (França) i "Jazzthings" (Alemanya).
Xavier Dotras Trio ha actuat en els Festivals de Jazz i sales més importants de Catalunya, destacant el mític "Jamboree".
Destaquen les actuacions en el "Jazz Club Soho" de Londres i en el "Bath Music Festival" (Bath, Anglaterra), retransmesa en directe pel programa Jazz Line-up de la BBC.
Xavier Dotras trio ha editat recentment el seu tercer treball "Vincent" (PICAP 2009)dedicat al pintor neerlandès Vincent van Gogh. En aquest CD ha col•laborat amb el grup la cantant Carme Canela. Actualment el grup està oferint un concert-audiovisual inspirat en la figura de Van Gogh.

El CD está grabado, mezclado y masterizado a los estudios “El Magatzem” de Sant Pol de Mar (www.jvila.com) y editado por ediciones PAE. Colabora en el disco el saxofonista y flautista Gorka Benítez.
“Retrospectives” obtuvo la segunda posición en los PREMIS ENDERROCK 2005 dentro la categoría “mejor nueva propuesta de jazz”.
”Nit” es el segundo CD del grupo. Fue grabado los días 31 de Mayo, 1 y 2 de Abril de 2006 a los estudios “El Magatzem” y editado por la discográfica PICAP.
El CD ha sido grabado por los miembros del trío y también han colaborado Gorka Benítez (saxo y flauta), Joan Abril (guitarra), Xavier Casellas (voz) y Juan Carlos Narzekian (saxo).

Xavier Dotras Trio is currently formed by Toni Pujol (double bass), Cesar Martínez (drums) and Xavier Dotras (piano).
“Retrospectives”, recorded on 5, 6 and 7 April 2004, was the first discographic project of Xavier Dotras Trio. Its recording had the special collaboration of prestigious Basque saxophonist and flautist Gorka Benítez.
“Retrospectives” obtained the second position at the PREMIS ENDERROCK 2005 among the “best new jazz proposal” category.
Nit (Night) is the group’s second CD. It was recorded on 31 May and 1 and 2 April, 2006 at El Magatzem studios and released by PICAP record label.
The CD was recorded by the trio members and the collaboration of Gorka Benítez (saxophone and flute), Joan Abril (guitar), Xavier Casellas (vocals) and Juan Carlos Narzekian (saxophone).
One of the tones of "Nit" has been included by the prestigious critic Juan Claudio Cifuentes in the CD called "jazz from Catalonia" for the "Catalan Institute of Cultural Industries" and distributed by the magazines JAÇ (Catalonia), "JazzMan" (France) and "Jazzthings" (Germany).
Xavier Dotras Trio has acted in Catalonia, highlighting the mythical "jamboree", in the Festivals of Jazz and more important clubs. It's also worth mantioning the performance in "Jazz Club Soho" in London as well as in the "Bath Music Festival" broadcasted live by the BBC programme "Line-up". Xavier Dotras trio has edited recently their third work "Vincent" (PICAP 2009)dedicated to the painter Vincent van Gogh. In this CD the singer Carme Canela has taken part in the group.The group offers an audiovisual concert inspired in the dutchman painter.
