Born in Harlem, NY on Hurricane Gloria September 27th, 1985...a bright star settled onto this Earth. From a toddler, performing was a thing of a pastime. It was just something I loved to do. I grew into my own as the years flew past and my voice, both verbally and musically, matured. I could "sang" as my family would say...and I sang. In school. At talent shows. At home. At parties. And I was good...but something was off.
During my teens, I went through personal changes inwardly that at one point, I thought I wouldn't get through. My mother fell ill whiched caused me and my two younger siblings to seperate...one living in Ohio and one living w/ relatives in NY. I was living with my father and I felt alone. So I began to write.
Write poetry, write my thoughts, write songs...this was how I learned to express myself to others without speaking. As years went on and I continued to mature and evolve as a person, so did my talent. I began writing poetry that became spoken word, journal entries that became songs, and finally...lyrics. I was "sickenin" as the divos say :).
At the end of 2009', as I saw the quality of music leaving the industry and the "gimmicks" accompanied by talent began to take over. Supposedly, there's no room for someone of my nature in the industry...but--I highly doubt that. If the world can be filled w/ so many negative influences in our music...I think there's room for some fun and positive music to be shared with others. I am...
