2006 marks the introduction of two Kenyan new comers to the global dance music scene, N.I.X. Currently with 15 unreleased compositions, a handful of remixes in waiting and endless praises by some of the region's top producers and DJ's; the duo have a very promising future ahead for them. Their sound can be described as a fresh, sophisticated blend of deep melodies, twisted grooves and tight arrangements that captivates the listener from start to finish.
N.I.X is an acronym which stands for Ngoma Ibambe Xaxawa. It's swahili for "Let the music sound real good"
It was formed in 2003 by two friends who met in high school.
Qqu and Knarna had prior to that been in a dance company. They had been performing in the company for over 5 years...Having made a mark in the industry already as seasoned choreographers and dance instructors. The two decided to expand their love for music by getting into it...
