BLUE WATER BOY was an emotive vegan straight edge band from Switzerland that existed from 1997 until 2001. The band then changed its name to CRUSH MY CALM, and started to play straightforward hardcore. CRUSH MY CALM broke up in 2003.
BLUE WATER BOY released a s/t 12" on Dead End Records from Switzerland, and a CD version of the same album on Sniffing Recording Industries from Argentina.
CRUSH MY CALM released two 7"s ("Vol.1" and "Vol.2") on Dioxin City Productions from Germany, and a LP called "Lies Make Life Easier" on Firewalk With Me from Austria, as well as a CD version of the album on Strange Fruit from Germany.
Members of BLUE WATER BOY & CRUSH MY CALM have also played in SUNDOWNER, POSEIDON, MINE, FERGUSON, and DAMAGE ID.
Martin, Roman, and David went on to play in SOLID GROUND. After SOLID GROUND ended in 2008, they all started ANIMAL INSTINCT among other projects. Alfredge moved back to Argentina. He now plays drums for the straight edge bands CUENTA CONMIGO, LAS PALABRAS QUEMAN and ENQUIRER. Christian is currenty singing for a new project band with members of ENGRAVE and THREADMILL. He also runs Take It Back Records together with Martin.
