Between Rock'n'roll to punk, from Hard Metal to Alternative, from the 80's to the 90's. To keep it simple, Rock!
Contra began with two members, Paul (Bass) and Ernie (Guitar) in their junior year of high school, looking for something to do they started working on the cover Fade to Black by Metallica. After conquering this they needed to find a drummer, this is where (Eric) came in. Next they went on to looking for a Lead Guitarist. Through a friend and a future member of the band (Dan) they discovered one man who knew some sweet licks, that man was Miguel. After a year of practicing them the band had gotten two covers down (Iron Maiden's Phantom of the Opera and Metallicas Fade to Black). After months past and a loss of their drummer, they were looking for a new drummer and their first leading man. The band wanted to play their first show at their school's talent show, so they had 3 months to practice and get a drummer and singer. Time was getting close and finally they found a drummer named John, and sought out a singer (Fernando) and invited him to a practice. After one session, the band had all the pieces they needed to do their goal, which was the talent show. The band plays under a new name(Contra) and also has some new updates to the line up. One of the three guitarist (Ernie) had left the band (and hopefully he may return) and with our new drummer Gaby, Contra will kickass once more. Once we start recording, look for our demo coming out this year!
