thanks for that! hell, I HOPE I get a LOT of young people for my play!!! They are the ticket to my writing future... I've always gotten the most love and support from young people than from older folks.
It would be hilarious if a riot breaks out during my play. Riots were quite commonplace during controversial plays in the late 1800s and early 1900s if the audience felt offended by a character or by the playwright's sensibilities. It would be fantastic if a huge riot breaks out, then I'll get loads of free publicity. Ain't no such thing as bad publicity ;-)
Hello! I just thought I'd put this out there- the MIX this coming Saturday will be our last show in a great while! A few of us will be on tour with Get Down Moses in September, we are wrapping up the final tracks on the album we've been recording with Eyon Irie, and there is a great deal of new material on our plates that we need to put some time into as well, making just a few public appearances in the fall. So, if you're one who favors moving and grooving, has a propensity for cutting rugs, or you have been known to spontaneously shout 'shake it up, baby!' from time-to-time in public places, feel free to mosey on down to Georgetown this weekend and see is play in the neighborhood that we once called home!
Saturday August 8 The MIX 6004 12th Ave South Seattle, WA 98108
that article is spot on. A lot of my favourite bloggers, especially feminists and race-conscious activists who discuss race, always get hateful, threatening, stupid comments by people insulting their bodies or calling them racist names.
I despise reading comments on Youtube and other public forums. People are just hateful idiots with nothing intelligent to add to the discussion. I can't even enjoy watching old Bollywood clips on youtube without reading racist, hateful comments about "dirty Indians."

While schools are being closed and safety-net programs are getting axed under the weight of the recession, Initiative 100 demands the city reconsider the human costs of the jail, research more effective alternatives to incarceration, and put the matter to a vote. Help get I-100 on the ballot and dance the night away while you’re at it!
Co-sponsored by the Committee for Efficiency and Fairness in Public Safety, the Real Change Organizing Project and Seattle Education Access. Proceeds will benefit sponsors.
This Sunday April 19 at the Sunset Tavern in Ballard (5433 Ballard Ave NW), 9pm, $6, 21+
For those who haven't heard, we'll be in the studio these next few months to record a new album with the renowned reggae singer, Eyon Irie. After that it's summer shows and writing songs for the next Orbits album!
In the meantime, if you don't have our self-titled cd yet, you can still pick it up on CD Baby and Itunes.
And swing by our myspace site to check out our new videos!
