For me romance is all there is. Anything else is simply the time we make our heart wait. How many times do we get to be in love? I don't like the idea of fate, that everything is destined. Love on the other hand never seems like an accident, at least not until it is on the rocks. It seemed easier when I was younger. One relationship ends another begins, like floating along in some cyclic order the Gods used to set the stars in motion. But now, I wait. I date. I look for a something in the eyes of the women that pass me by, a sign, a spark. "The heart is a lonely hunter. " I am the polite gentleman waiting for lightning to strike on a cloudless day. Depressed your thinking? No, no, not at all. That is not what I meant to say at all. Two glasses of wine and a blank sheet of paper and I turn into T.S Eliot or something, "I should have been a pair of ragged claws scuttling across floors of silent seas" I am happy to be me. I am a hopeless romantic. If Romeo was Fortune's fool than I am Love's. When you have been in love can anything else really do? Truthfully it has only been a couple of months but it seems like forever. When you are in love a woman's eyes are bright spheres that guide you and shame the stars. Such grace, moving like something the wind had made. Stilled now with soft dreams. Content. Our passions spent. Watching her. Afraid to sleep, that it may be a dream. Never wanting to wake if it is.

So, yeah.. just watched ur Angeles vid again and I think that's actually Portland (not Angleles) in the background there? The Convention Center and Steel Bridge.. unless shot at some doppleganger city. My thoughts: if it weren't for Portland, I'd be a hopeless wreck in the NW. Though I always miss Angeles ;-)
