teenage cancer group	Feb 10 2008 6:37 AM WHEN I WAS DIAGNOSED WITH CANCER, I WAS LEAD TO BELIEVE THAT THE ROYAL MARSDEN HOSPITAL IS AN EXCELLENT HOSPITAL. HOWEVER, LOOK AT WHAT THEY HAVE DONE TO ME. I WOULD URGE THE PUBLIC TO THINK TWICE BEFORE BECOMING A PATIENT AT THE ROYAL MARSDEN. BELOW IS SOME INFO ABOUT THE ROYAL MARSDEN MEMBERS OF STAFF WHO RUINED MY LIFE. THE JUSTICE SYSTEM IS SO 'GOOD' THAT THE HIGH COURT JUDGE DID NOT EVEN ORDER THEM TO PAY COSTS, WHEN THEY THEMSELVES STARTED IT ALL IN BAD FAITH AND THEN WITHDREW THE APPLICATION WITH NOT EVEN AN APPOLOGY TO ME, AND WHEN THE JUDGE HAD ALREADY CONCLUDED THAT THE APPLICATION WOULD BE DISMISSED. NO REASONABLE PERSON WOULD AGREE THAT TELLING A TEENAGE CANCER PATIENT THAT SHE 'WILL NOT BE ALIVE IN 3 MONTHS' IS IN HER BEST INTEREST, WHEN IN FACT I HAD A CHEST INFECTION. THEY WANTED TO OPEN MY CHEST NEEDLESSLY BECAUSE THEY INSISTED FOR WEEKS NO END, THAT I HAD A SECOND FORM OF CANCER WHICH HAD SPREAD TO MY LUNGS, WHEN IN FACT IT WAS A CHEST INFECTION. I WAS LEAD TO BELIEVE THAT I WAS MONTHS AWAY FROM DEATH, AND I NEEDED A NUMBER OF INVASIVE PROCEDURES URGENTLY. ONLY WHEN I CONTINUED TO REFUSE THESE PROCEDURES, AND COMPLAINED IN WRITING, DID THEY FINALLY ADMIT THAT THE PROCEDURES WOULD HAVE BEEN POINTLESS, AND THAT IT WAS IN FACT A CHEST INFECTION. WHERE IS THE JUSTICE IN THIS COUNTRY, WHEN PATIENTS CAN SUFFER AT THE HANDS OF HOSPITALS SUCH AS THE MARSDEN, AND AT THE SAME TIME, BE PUNISHED FOR HAVING THE 'CHEEK' TO COMPLAIN ??? BECAUSE OF THE ROYAL MARSDEN HOSPITAL, MY CANCER HAS NOW BEEN ALLOWED TO GROW FOR ALMOST 3 MONTHS. PLEASE LOOK AT MY BLOG FOR PICS OF THE ROYAL MARSDEN STAFF WHO HAVE DONE THIS TO ME: PROF ANDY PEARSON, PROF KATHY PRITCHARD-JONES, JOANNA YARDLEY - GENERAL MANAGER....ETC. THEY HAVE BEEN VERY STRESSFUL DUE TO THE HARASSMENT I HAVE BEEN GETTING FROM THE MARSDEN HOSPITAL...AS YOU ALL KNOW. MANY OF YOU HAVE ALREADY HEARD ABOUT THE GOOD NEWS FROM THE HEARING.... ALTHOUGH IT IS REDICULOUS THAT THE MARSDEN EVEN WENT DOWN THE ROUTE OF TRYING TO FORCE ME TO CONSENT TO A TRIAL, I AM AT LEAST GLAD THAT AFTER SEEING ALL THE EVIDENCE I HAVE AGAINST THEM, THEY DECIDED TO WITHDRAW THEIR APPLICATION..... I AM HOWEVER STILL LEFT WITH THE PROBLEM OF HAVING TO FIND A HOSPITAL IN THE LONDON AREA, WHO WOULD BE WILLING TO GIVE ME AN UNBIASED CHANCE TO COMPLETE THE TREATMENT WHICH I WAS ORIGINALLY ON, THE TREATMENT WHICH WAS CRUELLY STOPPED BY THE MARSDEN. MY CANCER HAS BEEN NEGLECTED FOR FAR TOO LONG BY THE ROYAL MARSDEN ( AS YOU CAN READ FROM MY PREVIOUS BLOGS...). IF IT'S NOT ALREADY DIFFICULT ENOUGH TO FIND HOSPITALS WHO DEAL WITH CHEMO, IN LONDON, IT IS MADE HARDER BY THE FACT THAT THE MARSDEN HAVE MADE IT CLEAR THEY HAVE BEEN IN TOUCH WITH ALL THE HOSPITALS IN THE LONDON AREA..... THIS MAKES MY TASK MUCH HARDER, IT IS NOW CLEAR THAT MY MEDICAL FILE HAS BEEN TAMPERED WITH ( I HAVE SEEN IT )... OBVIOUSLY, GOING PRIVATE IS NOT AN OPTION, UNLESS I SUDDENLY WIN THE LOTTERY .... THEREFORE I MUST TRY AND APPROACH ALL THE HOSPITALS AND TAKE IT FROM THERE.... I FELT IT WAS MY DUTY TO UPDATE YOU ALL, AS YOU HAVE BEEN SO HELPFUL THESE PAST FEW WEEKS. PLEASE KEEP ON PASSING MY MESSAGES ON TO YOUR FRIENDS... I FEEL THAT THE WORLD SHOULD KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON HERE.... IT IS A TERRIBLE INJUSTICE THAT THINGS LIKE THIS CAN STILL HAPPEN IN THE YEAR 2008, BUT IT WOULD BE EVEN WORSE IF I DID NOT DO EVERYTHING IN MY POWER TO STOP OTHER CANCER PATIENTS FROM SUFFERING THE SAME INJUSTICE, AT THE HANDS OF THE ROYAL MARSDEN HOSPITAL, OR ANY OTHER HEALTHCARE PROVIDER. teenage cancer group	Dec 27 2007 11:22 PM hi, as a teenager with cancer, i have set up an unbiased and completely independent support group. i need all the publicity i can get, especially as at the moment i'm fighting my own battle with a hospital, as i'm sure many others out there are having to do. i hope with the help of the general public, we can make the voice of teenagers heard, not just in the uk, but everywhere. we all deserve to live. so please tell all your friends about this group, and, together, we can make a difference for teenagers with cancer everywhere. thanks
