Since 2000, Xfusion has developed a prog-rock fan base, keeping with its roots, but also taking a bold leap forward. Pulling from its influences in metal, jazz fusion and progressive music, Xfusion is a unique entity in a climate of static rock standards. Musically, the band is both heavy and melodic using dynamic landscapes to tell sincere and polished emotional stories.
Vague..But True, Xfusion's first lyrical album, takes place in two dynamic states. The first half of the album focuses on the false sense of comfort and self-isolation of the dark room, while the second half delivers the listener into the desert, where the story pushes the isolation into the world and eventually into a war both real and internal. Vague...But True will be available by early June through all of the major on-line outlets on Red Moon Records.
The soaring vocals and aggressive keyboards of Joe Trainor is balanced by the intense acrobatic guitar work of Chris Gordon. The precision and power of the rhythm section, Jerry Dement (bass) and Jeff Dement (drums), gives Xfusion an undeniable identity as a talented band with something to tell the world.
Their music, while uniquely their own, shows hints of their progressive roots. The power of the material is driven by the guitar work of Gordon, pulling from fusion and metal guitar greats past and present. The rhythm section doesn’t rest idly by, but rather equally supports and propels the group’s material at the same time holding its own identity in each song. All the while maintaining a focus on melodic themes that vary, using changes in both time and mood to help Trainor’s stories unfold for the listener.

Johnny Neel is a Grammy nominated keyboard artist formally with the Allman Brothers Band. His song writing credits range from Delbert McClinton, Willie Nelson, Government Mule, Dickey Betts, Joanna Cotten, Carl Weathersby, Colin Ray, Chef Dave Band, Robert Gordon, Smoky Greenwell, Grease Factor, W.I.N.D., and Montgomery Gentry to name just a few. Currently Johnny Neel is performing with Bruce Willis & The Excellarators.
I'm writing for news! I'm glad to announce that I'm the new singer of the Gothic Metal band "Seven Dark Eyes"! We have an excellent understanding, so I'm sure that working together will be amazing!
