XHOHX originates in two musicians’ will to get rid of their own musical education, fruit of a lobotomy cleverly orchestrated right from childhood. XHOHX conjures up its own universe in the spirit of the revolutionary, non-political and progressive impulse of No Wave and Rock In Opposition bands. For this first opus KARYOTYPEXPLOSION, XHOHX uses a virtual drummer in the person of a computer whose function essentially is to endlessly repeat the military pounding of the sound of jackboots on the pavement. It's a celebration of the eternal conflict man/machine where the organic matter tries to overcome the robotic beat from crushing bone factories and achieves its aim destroying the metronomic system with some "non-rhythmical beats". Voices are those of a contemporary regressing by a dizzy fall towards the early time to tear out the primal scream of a misshapen person from his archaic cerebellum...and he’s shouting : our captivity in this realm of the expectation is over !

XHOHX est né de la volonté de deux musiciens de faire table rase de leur propre éducation musicale, fruit de la lobotomie judicieusement mis en place depuis l'enfance. Il évoque son propre univers dans l'esprit apolitique, révolutionnaire et progressiste des groupes de la No Wave et du Rock In Opposition. Dans ce premier opus KARYOTYPEXPLOSION, XHOHX emploie un batteur virtuel en la personne d'un computer dont la fonction initiale est de répéter à l'infini le martèlement militaire des bruits de bottes contre le pavé. C'est une célébration de l'éternel conflit homme/machine dans lequel la matière organique tente de triompher sur le beat robotique des usines à broyer les os et arrive finalement à ses fins en détruisant son système métronomique par des arythmies. Les voix sont celles d'un contemporain qui régresse vers les premiers âges en une chute vertigineuse pour arracher du fond de son cervelet archaïque, le cri primal d'un être qui hurle : notre captivité dans ce royaume de l'espérance est terminée.
