MySpace a place for friends

Hey you! We're X!nk, a band from Pulle - Oevel, Belgium. We started playing and writing songs in 2001 with Jonas on the vocals and the guitar, Thomas on the lead guitar, the synth and backing vocals, Philip on the bass and Niels on the drums.

In 2001 we started out as a three-piece band writing 3-chord songs and playing as many shows we could play. First only for friends in our own garage but later on in clubs throughout Flanders. In 2003 Thomas his ‘little brother’ Philip joined the band on the bass and we reached national television on programs such as Karrewiet and Afrit 9.

Later that year we represented Belgium at the very first Junior Eurovision Song contest in Denmark with our song ‘De Vriendschapsband’. In the field of 16 contestants, we ended 6th and more important we got points from every country. Later on we released our single and it reached on the 5th place on the Belgian charts.

In 2004 we got a record-deal with EMI capitol and released our singles Oh-ho, Laat Me Vrij and Sorry and later our self-titled album that went gold in Flanders. We played some ‘big’ shows in Flanders such as Stubru.uit, Pennenzakkenrock and Marktrock .

In 2005 we released our second album Vergif and the singles Denk Aan Mij and Hou Ons Niet Tegen. In 2006 we released the single De Andere Kant and played a bunch of shows such as Maanrock, Lokerse Feesten and 0110 (Ghent).

The years 2007 and 2008 were very calm. We released the single Give Us A Future and played very few shows. But with the shows we played, we reached national television (Maanrock, Pennenzakkenrock).

For 2009 we’re planning to release our 3rd album. We wrote 14 kick-ass songs and we’re about to record them very soon!
