Emerging form the streets of Fort Worth “Funky Town” Texas, Kylo Da Twin knew at a very young age that he was destined to be a superstar. From school talent shows, to opening acts for a major recording artists, he is no stranger to their stage.
He first introduced his ability to entertain in a middle school talent show where he took first place for his performance. He went on to start writing rap music and performing those songs in local talent shows around the city. He joined a rap group named Mafia and was of the most talked about acts in the city. He did collaborations with other local artists such as Kid Crush (presently known as Texas Slim) of Ghetto Life. Also T.I.C of Boy and Girl Records and Twisted Black of TVT.
Kylo Da Twins name comes from the fact that he had a twin brother that died at birth so he lives on through him and his music. Not to mention the fact Kylo Da Twin is a Gemimi, the zodiac sign for twin.
Kylo has a very strong passion for his music and can be found on any given day somewhere near or around the studio. He’s constantly writing music and recording the songs that he feels depicts his true urban lifestyle and neighborhood reality.
Kylo is no stranger to the judicial system. He has been arrested on numerous drug and firearms charges, assaults and other violations that he feels were only necessary for survival. Where a lot of rappers are just that, (rappers), Kylo has really lived a life that most only visualize on tv and in fantasy after three different attempts on his life, God has blessed him to still be here to tell his story.
INERTIA
Born Michael Taylor on August 6, 1982 Inertia was raised as a Military child spending majority of his life in Houston, Texas. At an early age he found himself fascinated by rap music and began to create and mold his lyrical and vocal skills showing his love for the music industry. Inertia was inspired by many artists the presence and style of such acts as DO or Die, Cap One, Ludacris, Scarf ace, and the living legend himself Twista made and formed him in to the artist he is today.
Early in his career Inertia’s talent caught the attention of an independent record label (Young and the Restless). Inertia recorded several songs for Y&R Records and enjoyed the ability to have his music recorded on CD. In 1999 news of his talent caught the attention of then the world’s largest independent rap label, “No Limit Records”. Master P and his producers were so impressed with his skills that they invited him into the studio where he recorded on projects with Multi-platinum recording artist C-Murder and Silk tha Shocker.
He proved his ability to write and rap lyrically complex and quality material within a short period of time. While he was in the studio, he also assisted Master P with ideas for hooks on his songs. Master P was anxious to sign Inertia, but had to put him on hold due to the fact that his distribution schedule was full. Inertia continued on performing at several concerts as an opening act for a couple of majors, such as Mystical, Juvenile, Bone Thugs & Harmony, Paul Wall, Jody Breeze of “The Boyz-N-Hood”, and Ying Yang Twins. In 2002 he meet the future of production in the music industry Leo “Young Gem” Stanford and formed what we would like to call the movement or as they would say the Rebels . Continuing to do shows He and Young Gem entered into many contests one being the “5k Hip Hop Hunt” and won by a landslide by 2006 Inertia was a name and force to be reckon with. Entering in an Event called “The Texas Summer Music Conference” in 2006 it became obvious to people like Clarissa Robinson and Jeff Robinson (Alicia Keys Management) that he would be a great addition to the music industry by the end of 2006 he had not one but two songs on the radio station (k104 fm) developing a much larger fan base than he had before. Inertia has a strong fan base and solid working knowledge of the music industry. He continuously works to perfect his style and ability by disciplined practice. Though he is confident in his gift, others describe him as outgoing ,talented, friendly, and down to earth.
Inertia continuously strives for success in music, but also leads a balanced life and believes that the greatest success in music will allow him to take care of his family. With an album in the finishing stages (UNCHAINED) Inertia is ready to go out and surprise the world with his crafty punch lines, tongue twisting skills and amazing sound world get ready cause here comes a breath of fresh air. KAYO 13
From Baby Duck to Kaoz to the now Kayo 13. This little marvel of a rapper was full of energy and sparked the interest of many labels though the interest was short lived until XLR Records had the opportunity to meet with him.
Kayo 13 represents the commencement of adolescents. In an ever changing world where music is a powerful tool to communicate change, education and or empowerment, Kayo 13 is the voice of the youth.

Now signed to XLR Records, Kayo 13 has a place to call home and continue to master his craft.
To most 15 year old boys the idea of being on stage with Lil Flip, Alicia Keys, Marcus Houston, Monica, Da Brat, Choppa and Mike Jones or meeting Public Enemy, TI and Nelly is only a fantasy. To KAYO 13, it has already been a reality.
Not only has this 15 year-old entertainer shared the stage with these superstars, but is the hardest working kid in Show Business.

Kayo has graced the stages of several high schools, malls, in addition to many local Boys and Girls Clubs, YMCAs and other community recreation centers in Texas. KAYO 13 won a trophy and cash prize at the $5K Hip Hop Hunt Show, and has performed at numerous talent shows beating almost every adult artist he has competed against. From Houston, to Ennis, to Waco, to Atlanta, to Miami. KAYO 13 has performed on countless stages and moved many crowds.
As an avid sports fan, the NBA Hoop-It-Up Summer Tournament in Dallas and at the NFL Experience in Houston were some of Kayo 13’s favorite show though the one show that he appreciated the most was at the Old School Hip Hop in Houston, because he had a chance to perform on stage with pioneers such as Special Ed, Doug E Fresh, and Dana Dane, just to name a few.
"These rappers paved the way for kids like me", he says sincerely. The show that stands out the most was at the Skatium in Arlington, because he got a chance to open up for one of his favorite rappers Bow Wow. No disrespect to anyone, but I am not trying to be like Bow Wow, I am trying to be like me, he says. KAYO 13 is continuing to develop his style on a journey to becoming a more rounded artist. Unlike other artists what separates KAYO 13 from others in his category is his passion for dance.
KAYO 13 GIVES YOU A PERFORMANCE
Giving back to the community is extremely important to KAYO 13. His performance at countless benefits and charity events is an example of this; Scottish Rites Hospital, Six Flags Amusement Park in Arlington, Buckner Children’s Homes in Dallas in addition to The Annual Thanksgiving Turkey Jam and performing for the less fortunate and many more. KAYO 13 stays busy performing at community events such as the Malcolm X Festival, the Kwanza Fest with Alicia Keys and Paul Wall, in addition to the Dallas & Okalahoma Juneteenth Celebrations which pull in thousands of people.
KAYO 13 has created a buzz within the Music Industry performing at the 2006 Urban Network Entertainment and Marketing Summit in Palms Springs, the Jump Off in Atlanta, the Black Ebony Tie Tour, and at Greg Streets Car Show in Dallas, where he shared the stage with top-notch artists like Nelly, Jeezy, and Rick Ross, just to name a few. 2007 was no different as Kayo 13 continued to lengthen his resume opening up for Omarion, Marques Houston & Yung Berg and being acknowledged by Pretty Rickey during their set whilst performing.

XLR Records was formed in 2006 by CEO Michael Seay. The birth of the label was inspired by the fact that Dallas Texas was an untapped market with an enormous amount of talented artist and producers. After working with several local artists in Dallas, XLR Records encompasses a group of uniquely talented individuals with one goal, “To make Hits”. Working alongside partner Clarissa Robinson who has years of experience in the music industry and being guided and directed by Jeff Robinson of MBK Entertainment, XLR is sure to make its mark on this ever changing industry.
