XMas Sloth Red is the Best Red Yet came to me in a dream in which I was standing under a bridge with 2 friends. One friend gave me something radioactive and I inhaled it. In the next few moments I was transported into pictures and captions. The image that was planted in my head was a vintage murder slide of a woman stretched out with her throat slit. Under the picture read the caption, “Xmas Sloth red is the best red yet”.
For weeks this stayed in my head, I scribbled it in red marker everywhere. I felt almost nutty. I had a painting titled Xmas sloth red, but it didn’t fit for what I knew it had to be. And really, it was not until the first issue, a sort of graphic biography that made the madness go away.
Now for Issue 2, I have brought together more intelligent minds and more ideas to create something that is radical like radioactive dreams.
Now, I really do not know what the dream means, but maybe the crossfire of words, images, and energies will be more appropriate in defining my dreams.
