I like to find what's really inside, and read the men behind the masks. I draw the world with my set of colours, seduce the keyboard and delete our babies. I draw my stories on the canvass of my dreams weaving the people I have met with the events that have made me Xolinha. Landscapes I paint, characters I love.
Music
IRON MAIDEN (kindly kneel as you hear their name), Metallica, The Cure, live rock! Anything loud: Heavy Metal oh yeah! Deep Purple, Ac/Dc, Megadeth, Black Sabbath, Alice Cooper, have you checked the bands on my 'friends' section? They are terrific!
Or anything funny enough to make me giggle while I listen (If you understand Spanish try Les Luthiers or Pablo Carbonell). Anything I can sing to. Or hum to. But no cheesy pop please. It hurts my brain. And I recently discovered what the name progressive rock stands for. Like that too.
Movies
Creepy-cute stuff: Nightmare before Cristmas, Sleepy Hollow, Sweeney Todd: anything with Burton's, Depp's or Rickman's name on it.
Fantasy and comedies: Pirates of the Caribbean, Dogma, The Teahouse of the August Moon, The Princess Bride (You killed my father you damn psycho!), Stardust and so on.
And masterpieces like American Beauty, Life is beautiful, and the occasional Spencer Tracy or Humphrey Bogart jewel.
Television
Dexter, House, Blackadder, Fawlty Towers, Criminal Minds, Heroes, V, STAR TREK, Fry and Laurie, The Pythons (NOBODY expects the Spanish inquisition!), Muppets.
That is: nerdy and/or funny.
Books
Here's where I give myself away. I like characters, like Pratchett's DEATH, JK Rowling's Severus Snape, and David Edding's Prince Kheldar, rather than stories because authors more often than not are not thinking of ME when they write. So when I disagree I may (*whistles and pretends she isn't there*) re-write the story to my liking. Isn't that what we all do? (*psychotic glare*)
Heroes
My parents started out with their bare hands and gave their children so much... *_*
I am a super hero, I can draw, write, dance, sing and fly. With my eyes closed. And my hands tied. Hanging upside down. I can even draw inside out. Back to front. And back again. Don't believe me? No cake for you!
I always smile. Even through tears. I can cheer people up and make them feel upbeat again with a few words, but the trick hardly ever works for me. I am patient, mothering everyone, which is not so good when others actually annoy me. I'm still learning to say no. I can't take rudeness and I rarely lose it but when I do beware!
A nerdy loner, at times; giggly, childish and sensitive, always. I blubbered when I left my last job and I shiver whenever He smiles at me with his eyes.
A whole new life when I first stepped into Camden Town! I spent 5 years in London and am dying to go back. It's colour to b&w, HDMI to VGA (did I say nerdish?) and heavy metal to cheesy pop... an eye opener.
Back to Spain and plunged into reality, but still unable to dream in Spanish. I miss my London people and places. Hope that I'll soon get over it or you'll see me going slightly mad.

Hi. Thanks for showing me some love, support and for your words of condolences for my mother. I appreciate it a lot. I apologize for the long delay in responding but its been a real difficult time, as you can imagine, for me and my family. I haven't had the energy to write to anyone since the beginning of March when she got sick again. You can already imagine that last week was hard since it was her birthday and this week is hard too with Mother's Day. Al fondo el bosque que se extiende hasta donde no llegan tus ojos y las montañas nubladas al norte te dicen que estas cerca, te acercas, si ese es el camino.Quiza te encuentres errante pero nunca perdido. Mas alla de las rocas desnudas al otro lado del sendero se encuentra el vado, desde alli podras ver La cascada de Sua y detras el Puente y el camino franquea el vado y habras llegado... y recuerda alli las hojas amarillean pero no caen ,las flores jamas marchitan y nada muere.
