Filmed on location in Birmingham, this video is for a song about real people and problems and will hopefully highlight some of the problems in todays cities
XOVA (Pronounced CROSS-OVA) are the latest STREET REGGAE BAND to come out of the UK this year with their unique ability to produce stunning tracks that are not only hard hitting Reggae but truly cross over to capture the RNB market as well
Coming out of Birmingham UK the home of such legends as Steel Pulse, UB40, Apache Indian, Pato Banton, Musical Youth and Bitty Mclean they follow in a long and fine tradition in Reggae music taken from the streets of this multi-cultural city.
The differences being that XOVA now fuse in their flavours from the streets of living in an urban city such as Birmingham in this new millenium.
Their Tracks hit home hard with lyrics of todays world about such high profile subjects as SINGLE PARENTS, KNIFE CRIME, LIVING IN POVERTY, DRUGS, IMMIGRATION, UNWANTED WARS IN IRAQ & AFGHANISTAN, THE PEOPLE STANDING UP AGAINST THE GOVERNMENT, and being VICTIMS OF SOCIETY …..but Delivered in a totally uplifting style that is not only Radio friendly but will undoubtedly see them take to the main stages of all major arena’s and festivals worldwide.

For this release we teamed up with top producer Jr. Blender and created a classical dancehall reggae riddim that is a link between the apart drifting genres Dancehall and Reggae.
The production has 14 Tracks and features some household names such as Gentleman, Luciano, Louie Culture, Lady G as well as newcomers as Nkulee Dube, the daughter of Reggae legend Lucky Dube, who performs her first Reggaesong on the Aspire riddim.
The Riddim Selection is available digitally at Itunes, Finetunes and all other relevant platforms. The limited 7“ Vinyls are distributed by Soundquake.com.
