for more info www. illiteratemagazine. com The Free Boutique presents MAKE TOTAL DESTROY, a fashion march on Colfax Denver, CO, March 20th - In light of the increasing separation of aesthetics from the city's cultural and geographic landscape, on Friday, March 20th at 4:00pm, The Free Boutique and Baily Rose of Illiterate Magazine will be holding MAKE TOTAL DESTROY, a fashion march starting at the Capital Building and ending at 2516 E. Colfax. Inspired by a reinterpretation of Guy Debord's dérive as tool to undermine the society of the spectacle, this march, instead of snaking through Parisian streets finding secrets in the medieval zoning, will embody the same spirit of urban exploration albeit with a western sensibility. Throughout the march, we will be pushing several racks of free clothes and encouraging onlookers to "shop", all the while uncovering the mysteries of Denver and creating a presence on the street of a utopic, queer positive, radical space as we march down the longest street on the planet, Colfax. This will further be achieved by presenting a collection of exuberant and confrontational looks (as a part of the first Cake and Eat It capsule collection with Baily Rose entitled MAKE TOTAL DESTROY) on models that will be leading the racks.
