I, Alex "TheLoneGunman" Boyd am a professional drummer based out of Kansas City. My career started by playing in an original punk rock band. We put out a couple records and toured the midwest as much as we could. After 7 years with the band, I desided that it was time to change the direction of my career. I decided to really take drumming seriously as an art form, and start studying all styles of drumming, instead of just pounding away as fast as possible in the punk rock. Over the last 3 plus years I've been taking lessons from some of the best drummers in the world and trying to find new and interesting musical ventures. I've played in bands of all sorts of varieties estabilishing a reputation of having a great attitude and making music fun, having great time and feel for the music and having an unrelenting fearlessness to trying anything. This has garnered me lot's of success playing for bands that do large corporate events and as a first call fill in drummer for bands who need a drummer that day. My goals in the future are to branch out from the Kansas City scene and get on a more national level. I'm available for touring bands and recording sessions all over the country.
