Extrapool is a venue for experimental music, performance art, screenings, small press publications and exhibitions.
Located in Nijmegen, The Netherlands, Extrapool is physically and conceptually a little bit off-centre the mainstream contemporary art-scene. Extrapool's tongue-in-cheek way of currating and programming has always been a crossover of high and low-art.
Fundamentally embedded in Extrapool is a unique full color stencil (mimeograph) printing facility, prepress and bookbinding called Knust, which allows artists to make books, wallpaper, zines, posters and such.
Extrapool also has a shop called Halfwithal which sells self-published items as well as books, zines, cd's, dvd's, records, tapes, t-shirts, buttons of other artists linked to Extrapool.

Brombron is one of the ongoing projects by Extrapool.. Two or
more musicians become artists in residence in Extrapool with the opportunity to experiment in Extrapools sound studio. The result is released as a CD on the Korm Plastic label, packed in all carton sleeve which are developped and printed by Knust (Extrapool's excellent printing studio).

Op vridag 11 december presenteert Laterax Recordings twee nieuwe albums van twee zeer verschillende artiesten. Om 21:30 speelt de atmospherische Nijmegse indie-outfit The Netherlands nummers van hun nieuwe CD "We Are Not...". Om 22:30 is het de beurt aan Koko Cohen, die zal trakteren op de eerste presentatie van zijn tweede CD Bozophobia, samen met een speciale korte film. De Haagse singer-songwriter Arno Loriaux begint de nacht om 20:00 en wordt gevolgd door Rotterdamse indierockers Politics. Afterparty met DJ's en gedans tot de koeien thuiskomen.
Two abstract urban meditations composed by French visual artist Jérôme Schlomoff.
Both filmed with a pinhole movie 35mm camera, these two films create mysterious and eerie portraits of the two cities, a ghostly New York City under a snowstorm and a poetical exploration of Amsterdam as a city suspended between past, present and future, in a visual voyage filmed at some of the city’s building sites.
Both films are going to be presented with a live soundtrack performed by experimental hip-hop producer Smooth One and bass player Mouard Baali.
Smooth One biographical notes:
Smooth One comes from the abstract hip-hop scene. He wrote with Dj cam the two first album in 1996 and 1998, Underground Vibes and Substance. After a live album recorded in « Transmusicales » festival in Rennes and many remix for Air, Tek9 and Silent Poets, Smooth One decided to work alone, mainly on film music, and managing his own label, Superflux, which also published the soundtrack of
