XTrobo is the name of the first experimental solo project of Marcos Marchetti (architect, artist and philosophical provocateur), in his first deep artistic journey since he concluded his undergrad course of Architecture, at the São Paulos' University.
It was in 1999-2000.
Conducted by non-musical concepts, Marcos M. uses low-tech equipment to produce a bric-a-brác of noises and deconstructed/ambiental melodies.
Althought, he purposes an unconvencional fusion of samples collected from the rural/urban (located at the city of São Carlos, SP, Brazil) environment in wich he develops his artistic experiences.
Even never been signed with some label, or having a huge visibility, the XTrobo project is still on the run, guided only by artistic and philosophical concepts.
The term XTrobo could means the ambient created by the fusion of several extra-strobe lights working together, in different frequencies.
Or just a vintage little stroboscopic robot.
Or anything you want to!
