Starting his career as one of the leading figures of Californian hip-hop in the '80s, Ice-T has written some of the best portraits of ghetto life and gangsters, as well as some of the best social commentary hip-hop has produced. Besides fronting his own band, Ice-T has also collaborated with other hard rock/metal bands, such as Icepick, Slayer, Motorhead, Black Sabbath, and Six Feet under.
