About me:
Good Day Mortals. I am Beira, the Winter Queen.
I am mother to Keenan, the Summer King. I wish I could say that I loved him dearly, but that is just not the case. He is the only thing in my way. The only possible threat to me ruling both the mortal and faerie worlds. Yet the only way he could stop me is by finding the true Summer Queen. Luckily, he has not found her and I doubt he ever will.
My story begins thousands of years before mortals even existed. But lets not bore you. I'll start with the death of my husband. I murdered him centuries ago leaving Keenan to be the new Summer King. But just to keep him from gaining his true power, I made up a game. A wonderful little game. The only way he could ever fully come to power was if he could find a queen. But she had to be the queen, as in the Summer Queen. His other half, the only girl that could complete his power.
Now here's how my little game goes: Keenan must find a young mortal girl to court. The second that he has chosen her she will begin to turn into a faerie. At the end of the courtship, Keenan will reviel himself to the mortal and ask if she would risk becoming the Winter Girl or his Queen. If she touches my staff and feels cold, she is the Winter Girl, if she feels warmth, she is the Summer Queen. If the mortal chooses not to touch my staff, she turns into a Summer Girl.
The Winter Girl must convince Keenan's mortal that he is not to be trusted, that she should not fall in love with him. Most of the time her job is well done. Now, if you couldn't figure it out, the Winter Girl works for me. And ONLY me. There is no excuse.
I have not been threatened by any one of Keenan's mortals. Until now. His newest girl has shown signs of being the girl. The Summer Queen. I've done absolutely everything in my power to make sure that she does not get the chance to touch my staff. Donia, my current Winter Girl, was asked by me to do everything in her power to make sure this girl would not succeed. Yet she betrayed me. She went to Keenan and that Aislinn girl to help them defeat me. She would surely pay for her treason.
So I had to take matters into my own hands, especially after seeing the Aislinn girl heal my frostbite upon Keenan's cheek. I went after her mortal and Donia. The two people that Aislinn and Keenan loved the most in this pathetic world. The girl's mortal was tortured and Donia got the treatment she deserved for betraying me.
Unfortunately Aislinn and Keenan were able to defeat me for they had completed the ceremony only a short while before. Donia became the new Winter Queen after Keenan killed me. Therefor, I no longer exist.
