SHOKO HORI (Film director*Photographer*Producer*Editor*Web Designer)

Born in Chiba, Japan on Sep 24th 1985, Shoko was raised in Narita, which is famous for an international area of Japan. And she received her fundamental education and developed her interest for foreign countries. When Shoko was seventeen, she spent a whole Summer in Montana, US to work for a tour company in Yellow Stone National Park, which gave her extremely huge inspirations and dramas then she started to tell stories from what she has experienced in her life.
Shoko entered film major in Osaka University of Arts but most of her school life was filled with an Ice Hockey club activities. When she was a third year, she applied for the international program at ..California College of the Arts.., one of the top art school in United States. She studied film making, photography and life drawing for an year at CCA and she found the real passion for the Arts. She met Academy Award winner Rob Epstein, learned directions and screenwriting, was inspired how to create her own film world. She shot more than 20 films when she was in CCA.
After she came back from US, she filmed a huge documentary about Japanese Ice Hockey as her final project in Osaka.

She is working at Fuji Television in Tokyo since April 2008.


堀 翔子（映像作家・写真家・プロデューサー・デザイナー）
１９８５年９月２４日 千葉県生まれ。
国際都市である成田で育ち、幼い頃から国際交流に興味を持つ。１７才の夏、アメリカのモンタナ州へ単身渡米。イエローストーン国立公園でツアーガイドアシスタントとしてインターンシップを経験。この時に、自然が持つ偉大な力に感銘を受け、自身が経験した出来事を物語として創り出すことを思い描き始める。 高校卒業後、大阪芸術大学映像学科に入学。しかし、ここではほとんどの時間をアイスホッケーの練習に費やし、波瀾に富んだ学生生活を送ることになる。 ３年次、入学前からの目標であった全米トップアートスクール、カリフォルニア美術大学（CCA）への交換留学を志願。難関の試験を突破し、念願だった西海岸で映画制作を徹底的に学び始める。CCAではオスカー受賞者であるドキュメンタリー監督、ロブ・エプスタインより演出、脚本を学び、映像や芸術に対する真の価値観を見出していく。CCAで制作した映像作品は２０本を越え、映像と並行して写真やドローイングにも目覚める。
帰国後、アイスホッケーの普及活動をテーマにした全国規模のドキュメンタリーを制作。
現在は都内のテレビ局で働きながら、有名映画監督・プロデューサーの元、様々な映画プロジェクトを動かしている。
