One is as though nothing is a miracle.

Sounds Like
Sometimes like water, sometimes like something you would hear on the radio, sometimes like outerspace and sometimes like a song you just can´t get out of your head...
Yael was born in Santiago de Chile…in one of the southernmost southern countries of the world where deserts, waterfalls, glaciers and mountains coexist in a 4000 km coastline. She began dancing and singing at a very young age. Always humming made up tunes, she took on formal piano training at age 5, song-writing at 8 and guitar playing at 13. At 19, after receiving a scholarship to attend Berklee College of Music, she left Chile and settled in Boston where she met amazing people and her mind and heart opened wide to a new world of music and perception. Giving in to a much deeper appreciation for sound and the power it has to change every living and non living thing, she became convinced that music is indeed a powerful tool towards generating a much more loving, understanding, peaceful and respectful world. Praised as “one of the top 50 albums of the year” by Rolling Stone Latin America, Yael..s first full length album “Common Ground” is an exquisite blend of indie folk and lounge electronica. Yael currently resides in Los Angeles, where she continues to perform, write, produce, record and teach/guide. Her most recent collaborations include a series of webisodes (under development) starring Galooney the Clown (www.babonazo.com), as well as an ongoing songwriting partnership with Los Angeles based singer-songwriter Cathy Heller (www.cathyhellermusic.com). Her voice and music have been featured in numerous recordings and films including Chilean-Mexican production El Brindis for which she was commissioned to write and produce the song Aqui, the opening track to the film. Her music can also be heard on the documentaries: Al Final del Tunel, Holocaust: 3rd Generation and Ondinas. Yael plays various instruments both live and on her recordings.
