Born with a passion for music, DJ Dubb B aka YaFavWhiteBoy isn‘t your typical DJ. His interest for music developed as a small child listening to his parents old tapes and records. Enjoying the beat of his uncle’s drums growing up, he knew music would forever be a part of his life. Old Motown, Johnny Cash and Classic Rock were among his favorites as a child.
A hip-hop convert since purchasing his first tape by Run DMC, Dubb B was influenced by the mixing and scratching of Jam Master J. DJ Dubb B’s first DJ experiences began in the 6th grade, where he Djed house parties with two tape decks which led to house parties throughout high school and college. He has come a long way since then. His exposure began at events like the Olentangy Commons Pool Parties. Known throughout the state of Ohio, DJ Dubb B has packed the house at 1138, Miani’s, Polo’s on Bethel, UA Café and numerous venues. Starting Sept 20th he makes his return to Saturday nights at Polo's on Bethel
He gained notoriety with a series of mixes and is known for his mixed cds being one of the first to bring the hottest new music and remixes to the state. DJ Dubb B is currently working on his upcoming mixtape, “The Resume”.
DJ Dubb B has produced tracks for artist like NES WORDZ, DEZ, Young Wise and much more. He helped breakthrough R&B sensation Christian, seen on 106 & Park. DJ Dubb B is known for breaking local artist and has a passion for helping others new to the music industry gain exposure.
DJ Dubb B understands that music provides opportunities for self-expression and creativity and that people of all cultures, beliefs, and societies are connected through music as a form of universal communication.
