Baba Yaga formed in 2000 after half the band had been on maternity leave from
Witchknot ! We were a diy, quirky post-punk band with songs about stuff that we
experienced like giving birth by caesarian section (Lumpy) and post-natal depression (Swings) Chart busting stuff pop pickers! We played at festivals like Frock On hosted by Gertrude in London, Frock Off in Glasgow (there's a theme emerging here ... ) and Ladyfests in Dublin and Manchester. Our last gig was in Derby 2008 with The Mothers for the wonderful Nappy Rash Collective. No doubt some of us will do some more mad stuff soon ... watch this space...
