About me: "yan.... a hair salon" is Milwaukee's newest addition to the world of hair design. This cozy hair boutique is located at 419 E. Menomenee Street in Milwaukee's Historic Third Ward. yan... is directly east of JBird Boutique for those of you who are fashion obsessed as I am, and one block west of Holiday House for those of you who are wine obsessed, as I am.
Oh, by the way, I am Tracy Grundy, the overly excited owner of "yan... a hair salon". For those of you who do not know me, I have been doing hair for six years now, in the Third Ward. I am extremely ambitious, which is why I am setting out to do this. I have always known that I would own a business, as self-employment runs in my family, but I never dreamed that it would right around the corner. I am young with a positive additude on life and an extremely strong work ethic. I love being a hair designer more than anything, and believe I show that through the work that I do.
Though I love talking about me, I feel it is time to get back to "yan...". The concept is simple, "yan" translates from Chinese to English as BEAUTIFUL. Beautiful is what we all are, in our own ways and whether we know it or not. The goal of the hair designers @ "yan..." is to utilize and enhance the guests outer beauty in order to allow said guest to express their inner beauty.
