Bassiste hors pairs, multi-instrumentiste, Yann a beaucoup composé (3 albums avec le groupe Glaz, un album solo « Zaw », des musiques pour la télévision ), et promené ses lignes de basses lyriques et funky aux quatres coins de l'Europe en multipliant les rencontres ( Tayfa, Alan Stivell, Dan ar Braz, Fawzi Al Ayedy, Carlos Nuñez et bien d'autres). Actuellement, il partage son temps entre la scène avec la compagnie nord-irlandaise Erne Rising, Gérard Delahaye, le quartet Horizons de David Hopkins ou encore le harpiste Dominig Bouchaud , et la composition dans son studio où il vient de terminer le premier album de la chanteuse Gwennyn, récompensé par un Grand Prix du Disque Produit en Bretagne 2007. grace à internet et à l'enregistrement digital, il enregistre de plus en plus dans son studio pour des projets à distance.

Yann is a renowned bass player from Brittany. His talents as both bassist and arranger have been called upon by many artists on the Breton music scene, such as Alan Stivell, Gerard Delahaye, etc. Yann was founder member of the innovative Breton group Glaz. With sensitive fretless and funky slap bass techniques, he imports a modern dimension into Erne’s compositions and traditional repertoire. In 2002 Yann released his solo album “Zaw” featuring Kabyle and Breton singers and musicians.While performing with Gérard Delahaye or harpist Dominig Bouchaud, he has recently joined David Hopkins’Quartet Horizons and has just arranged and recorded the award winning album “En tu all” for breton singer Gwennyn. Thanks to the internet and digital recording he is now able to record basslines in his own studio for more and more productions abroad.
