Yard Dogs lead the modern hobohemian on a visual and sonic journey through part of history that may or may not have existed – followed by an ambitious return to the emotional challenges of this punch-drunk contemporary world. It’s a true story on stage: sword swallowers, dancing dolls, sometimes fire eaters and sunset hobo poetry - all animated by the live sounds of the Yard Dogs cartoon heavy band. Pure visual and sonic voodoo... and corn bread.
children of the inbetween places
like laughing monkeys eating fudgesicles,
sitting in the shade and daydreaming
diamonds and tear drops - this is a love letter from the bordello of your imagination - warm your hands by the fire - say hello and unwind before the weather turns and the little people with dinosaur mouths eat your toes and bury your clothes - celebrate and adorn forever this rebellious time - you are needed - no matter what they say - YOU are needed.
Right now the first two are only available on our website .
1st day - Jan. 7th - "King of the Hobos"
Ok - this first video really isn’t new at all. How about if we call it “vintage” and name it “King of the Hobos”. This will be fun. There will be fanfare and popsicles. It’s old super 8 that we dug out of a cardboard box. It’s a close relative of “Holy Clown” – another movie that was also made a long time ago, that maybe you’ve already seen. It was made by Flecher Fleudujon and Eddy Joe Cotton. The next two will be brand new. We promise.
2nd day - Jan. 8th "A Tangible Incandescence"
This second video is called “A Tangible Incandescence”. It’s a simple little ditty from a short trip we took up to the mountains of California. It includes a little wedding on the beach at Lake Tahoe and a bit of show footage from the Crystal Bay Casino. It was put together by Dugan O’neal. The song was written and performed by Micha D of YDRS. Micha’s sister Heidi and her beau Davey sing back-up.
3rd day - Jan 9th "Lucky Day"
This third video is called “Lucky Day”. This was also put together by Dugan O’neal. The motion graphics were done by Brandon Hirzel. It’s our first “music” video. It’s all about rainbows and good times (if you’re into that kind of thing). It’s just for fun, really. We made it a couple months ago when some people thought the world was going to end. It seemed like the right thing to do. Now we know the world isn’t going to end. So carry on...nicely :)

Culture was the seed of proliferation But it has gotten melded into an inharmonic whole Consciousness has plagued us and we can not shake it Though we think were in control Questions that besiege us in life Are testament of our helplessness Theres no vestige of a beginning, No prospect of an end (hutton, 1795) When we all disintegrate it will all happen again
Time is so rock solid in the minds of the hoards but they cant Explain why it should slip away History and future are the comforts of Our curiosity but here we are Rooted in the present day
If you came to conquer youll be king for a day But you too will deteriorate and quickly fade away And believe these words you hear When you think your path is clear
We have no control We do not understand You have no control You are not in command!
