I'm an ex-nuclear power plant worker (worked there 10 years) who has a yardsale/garage sale website called
The Yardsale Queen. Back in 1997, a coworker friend at the nuke plant told me how much fun she had making a personal homepage so I decided to give it a shot. And it just kinda snowballed from there.
In 2000, I quit my job to be a stay at home mom. But now my kid is in school fulltime and I've kind of developed a shopping addiction. My website has appeared in numerous national magazines and newspapers - which I think is pretty crazy; Newsweek (twice), Wall Street Journal, Woman's Day, etc
I am a shopping addict - going to yardsales, garagesales and thrift stores and shopping for used junk is my crack. I've found a way to be both a compulsive shopper and a cheapskate.
I am truly blessed with the gift of your friendship. I'm very sorry that I haven't been in touch like I should have lately. With all that has been going on with Winston I have not gotten too many chances to be online. The weeks have really gone by fast. I praise God so much that Winston is improving and is almost back to 100%. Hopefully everything will be back to normal soon. Thank you for understanding and continuing to be my friend.
