Yeah, believe it or not, this is Joe Dodge, back from the dead and taking a ride in the Funhearse down memory lane, straight to the gravesite of Yard Trauma, buried long ago in the Deadrock Cemetery.
Once upon a time, Yard Trauma churned out music at a prolific pace that during it's ten year run, ran the gamut from 60's psychedelic, to country punk and pop, clear to bible shredding hardcore. Trauma put out many numerous albums, singles and CD's from 1982-1991, touring Europe in 1989, which included a memorable gig in Berlin the night before the wall came down. It has been rumored that it was Yard Trauma's music that triggered that historic event. The last two albums, "Lose Your Head and "Oh My God", both recorded in L.A., were produced with the help of Brett Gurewitz of Bad Religion. (My punk rock icons)
I am an active poet, lyricist, songwriter and story teller that hopes to communicate with the living before I die once again. There are still a few more things I have to say.
So hop on in, if you dare, and take a veering, swerving, dangerous drive down some old dark dusty roads strewn with the dreams that never came true and the nightmares that are still reality on our way to the graveyard and final resting spot of Yard Trauma, with your trusty driver Joe, always at the helm of the Funhearse. Oh, and don't mind the coffin, it's mine.
