I have a varied interest in music. Let's just say I don't like stuff that sucks. That more or less rules out most anything new. But I am always open to a challenge.

I have a ridiculous assortment of music knowledge in my head and can probably tell you within a year or two when pretty much any album came out. Try it, it's fun!

I love The Replacements (Paul Westerberg is the shit), Wilco, Jonathan Coulton, My Morning Jacket, Radiohead, Sparta, American Music Club, Old Motown stuff, Alice In Chains, Jeremy Enigk, The Police, Dredg, Failure (Ken Andrews Solo & Year Of The Rabbit too), Marah (first and second albums only please), Muse, Pulp, Snow Patrol, Son Volt, Ted Leo, Travis, Van Halen, old Ben Folds Five, Big Star, Anthrax, old Jane's (I LOVE Nothing's Shocking,), Maiden, GnR, Mother Love Bone, 30 Seconds To Mars, Jai Ali Savant, and all sorts of wacky stuff I can't think of right at this moment. Also, quite a few local bands. If you aren't familiar with the local scene (and not jsut here where I live, but in your own hometown), check it out. Lots of great bands on the cusp of some very big things!

  • Movies

Donnie Darko, Goodfellas, Fight Club, Office Space, Red, White & Blue Trilogy, Sneakers, The Blues Brothers, Animal House, Clerks, Dogma, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, Eternal Sunshine, Rushmore, Empire Strikes Back, Grand Canyon, The Muppet Movie (that's for Statler!) and lots of other shit I can't think of right now.
I went to film school, I hate crap, or at least crap that's...well, you get what I'm saying.
  • Television

I love TV. SNL, Sportscenter, This Week In Baseball, Inside The NBA (love Chuck!), Family Guy, Scrubs, The Simpsons, South Park, Buffy, Angel (shut up), Top Gear, Top Chef, 30 Rock, Degrassi (old and new school), Arrested Development, Good Eats, Alias, How I Met Your Mother, Seinfeld, Mary Tyler Moore Show and the list would just go on forever. I am a fountain of useless tv knowledge. But do yourself a favor and get tivo or a dvr from your cable company and go outside and do something. Then you can watch what you want whenever!

You Are a Boston Creme Donut
You have a tough exterior. No one wants to mess with you.
But on the inside, you're a total pushover and completely soft.
You're a traditionalist, and you don't change easily.
You're likely to eat the same doughnut every morning, and pout if it's sold out.
  • Books

"Where I'm Calling From" by Raymond Carver
"Wake Me When It's Funny" by Garry Marshall
"Live From New York" by James Miller & Tom Shales
  • Heroes

A friend of mine has stated that the word "Hero" is vastly overused these days. I tend to agree. There are people I admire (canadian strappy drummer, shaggy the bass player), but my only real "hero" is Batman.

About me:

I'm a writer, a manager, a production assistant, a pimp, a finagler, a booker, a promoter, a tree surgeon, a computer tech, a bad influence, a former drummer, a beginner bass player, a bad web designer, a loyal friend and a partridge in a pear tree.

You can have your boring life. I like mine.

I like to think of myself as a decent person. I don't kick old people or puppies. I love my friends and tolerate my family. I was once told I was generous to a fault. I don't know if that is true, but they had no reason to lie. I am low drama and enjoy low key hanging out and getting really stupid drunk, or just having a few beers & making jokes about your mom or what I may or may not have done to/with your dad.

I enjoy nerdy, adolescent humor but I also enjoy intelligent conversation, and sometimes conversation about ridiculous stuff (ie: i once had a heated argument about how I believe that Tony The Tiger could kick the crap out of Lucky from Lucky Charms in the middle of Target).

I don't take much very seriously but I do what I am good at well. Some people take my attitude and my flip answers for everything to mean i don't care about my work, but I do. I am just a wiseass. It is what it is, you know?

This is going on too long and it is odd to go on about one's self like this. So, to sum it up: I am a grownup that never grew up. And I like it that way.

Live by this.
Life is too short:

"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."
- Mark Twain

The music business is a cruel and shallow money trench, a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs. There's also a negative side." - Hunter S. Thompson

Who I'd like to meet:

Bill Murray. The man can do no wrong.
Paul Baltimore.
Jim Burrows. Complete genius. Know who he is?
Bob Newhart. Dick Van Dyke. Carl Reiner. Roger Goddell. Bud Selig.
People who can make me laugh. People who won't smile to my face and rip me apart when I walk away. People who don't play 3rd grade head games. People who love good flicks, good tv and good music and like to quote the simpsons ("why aren't you out getting the money? you could be getting the money now"). People who understand my nerdiness and don't hate me for it. Domi fans. Record company execs. Good cooks. People who want to go and eat interesting things. People who wanna drink Jager with me and laugh when we fall down. People that understand that I am not a 9 to 5 kind of girl. Guys I can get drunk & have fun with (get your mind out of the gutter people!). People usually disappoint me. Can you not?..
