Native of Osaka Japan, YasuyukiYAZ Takagi came to New York City in 1992 and formed his own band, Yaz Band in 2002.
As an official member of Music Under New York, Yaz Band is playing at any train stations of MTA, like Grand Central or Penn station.
Yaz Band also had the opportunity to take their music abroad as part of the Under New York in Seoul performance series held in Seoul, Korea in 2003 & 2004.
Yaz Band was also focused on Subway Idol of FOX5 news, and seen on some Cable TV programs.
Yaz Band also played live on WBAI FM in March 2005.Yaz Band has played Lincoln Center Out of Doors in August 2005.
