YELLOW FEVER PRODUCTIONS gets its name from a condition I have which is caused by a love for anything Asian. Slightly offensive I guess, but YFP moulds itself on Hong Kong film-making and supports its Asian counterparts in every way possible. My biggest aim is to work with Jackie Chan, Sammo Hung, Yuen Biao and most other stars there and hopes one day to produce the same quality of movies that has inspired me for the past 25 years!

About me: Northern Ireland’s 1st Annual Yellow Fever Independent Film Festival (YFIFF)
Northern Ireland will witness the arrival of a new film festival in August this year, when award-winning film-makers Yellow Fever Productions take on the challenge of playing host to local film-making talent and other artists from around the country and worldwide.
The festival will showcase a large range of films over the two-day event and bring local businesses together with a selection of stalls and workshops.
The main aim of the festival is to expose new talent and give people a chance to show their work to the public.
The festival will feature 20 stalls from local businesses; Q & As with special guests; refreshments; a tattoo room; around 20 films (shorts and full length features) including the world premiere of Yellow Fever Productions' latest film and a closing award ceremony. Eight awards will be presented, including Best Film, Best Actor, Best Actress and the Audience Choice award.
The festival is sponsored by arts website Culture NI, Video Monkeys, Critical Film and the Stormont Hotel, which is offering a reduced room rate for festival goers over the weekend 22-23 August 2009.
Full submission guidelines and festival details are available here in our blogs or your may email

Yellow Fever Productions was in Orlando Florida, in October 2008 for the Freak Show Film Festival, as Battle Of The Bone (our first featue film) had been accepted to run as one of the screenings. As if this amazing project couldn't get any better, we won the Audience Choice Award over 20 other films (some from the producers of Saw) and became the talk of the festival!! It really was quite amazing - for a full diary blog on the event, check out our films myspace at the address below or see above for a cut n paste version!!

Who I'd like to meet: YELLOW FEVER PRODUCTIONS was started by me, George Clarke (check friends box below for other George Clarke projects) in 2007. The very first project we tackled was a short story trailer to help promote our first major film - Battle Of The Bone - a story about a zombie attack on the twelth of July. Further projects have since been done in the wait for 'Battle' and have only added to the lessons in film-making as I (George) or anyone involved has had no experience in film on a educational, or professional level.
YELLOW FEVER PRODUCTIONS mission is to put new Northern Irish film-makers in the spotlight, and give those who truly deserve the chance, a go at making it big. 6 years ago I turned down a chance in Hollywood simply because I dislike the way they make films, and they weren't open to give fresh talent more of a start. With YFP my plan is to break catch 22, and give those without experience, the chance to gain it! Keep checking the blogs for news on past productions and forthcoming, and until we get our proper website up, everything else!! YELLOW FEVER PRODUCTIONS will take the lead in Northern Irish film-making simply because we break the mould... and as a good friend of mine once said - ' Imagination is more important than knowledge' Albert Einstein

If you really love flm, and have imagination and a vision, then get in touch because we want to help! I'd also like to meet people with money who can become my executive producers... please! Independent film-making is hard enough, but when you've an imagination like mine, you need that little bit of extra help. YELLOW FEVER PRODUCTIONS guarantees you'll get your money's worth!******************************************************
Just a quick comment to let you guys know that we have been confirmed as main support to BLAZE BAYLEY on his UK &Ireland Tour in Feb 2010!! We are really happy to be a part of this tour and look forward to meeting everyone on the road! The Metal Hammer and Kerrang reviews are now up on our page so feel free to check them out. Keep it Metal!!
Firstly, thanks for having us a friend! We really do appreciate it, it's a hard slog being an original band at the moment.
Secondly, do you, or anyone you know, like to play bass? And do you, or this person who you know who plays bass want to play bass in a gigging rock band?
The Hubris are recruiting. Mark is hanging up his plucking pinkies at the end of the year and we need to find someone who can do what he can do.
We're after a bassist who likes his/her rock music. We've been compared to loads of punk bands, old and modern. John from Bruised Fruit described our recent demo thusly: "This is class - really catchy. It's like the Jam meet Green Day meet The Clash and it's a three way explosion of awesome." (Thanks John - hope you don't mind us quoting that to death!)
What we're after is someone who's, well, who's good at playing bass really. Have good attitude, be willing to practise up to twice a week, and tear up every gig we get our mitts on. Ideally the ability to backing sing would be good. Songwriting optional.
We've played quite a few gigs since we started gigging in July, and we have more gigs booked into the future. As soon as we get someone on board we have the opportunity of a load more very soon. We were played on Feile FM a couple of weeks ago, listeners texted in and asked for an encore.
Loads of scope for you to take a songwriting role if you fancy, plus we're a very easygoing bunch of people who have a good laugh as well as work hard.
If you like rock music and you want to be in a real rock band then contact me.
George - I want to thank you and (Mike Leeder) again for the Directing Award. I could not be more proud, and it is going straight to my already swollen head!! Hope to see you at next year's YFIFF!!
I didn't. I know I'm such a bastard... It's tough for me to keep track of all this stuff these days. I've got so much going on, but I guess that's good.
Anyway, I will do my best to catch it next time... if there is a next time. If not I guess I'll just have to wait for the finished product. I will definitely try. I think I figured out the time zone difference - I believe I'm about 7 hours behind you... So I'll definitely try to make it work next time.
I just finished reading the review from Terror4Fun. It was good... congrats. I finally talked to Robert and assured him we'd be there this year. I think I might have mentioned that Josh had suggested a while ago that I film some commercials to promote Critical-Film. Roberts agreed to let me screen a commercial between movies this year, so I should probably get my ass in gear.
