Yellowish is back! After an almost two year long break Yellowish is now ready to recapture the live stage. Even though the indie band hasn’t been making a fuss about itself externally, the buzz hasn’t gone off the song writing process. This means that time has been spent creating new material and Yellowish is now ready with completely new songs, seeking new areas but still hanging on to the interplay and the tune. The style is now more rock-like and focused.
Time has also been spent on different other projects. Under the name Mixtune for Cully, singer and guitarist Aage Hedensted, released a solo album in October 2008 on Good Tape Records, and with the help of other Yellowish members he has toured Denmark frequently with his songs. The other singer, Laura Noszczyk, has spent time playing with the Copenhagen band Demons Are Real.
Yellowish made their debut in 2004 with the album Solid Ground; an album that received nothing but splendid reviews across Europe. In Denmark the first single, “Lisa Could Die for Elvis”, went straight in as number one on the national, alternative chart “Det Elektriske Barometer”, and into rotation on P3 and DR Electric.
In 2006, the band was back with their second album “So Bright”, and besides playing at SPOT Festival and Roskilde Festival, the band also toured both Denmark and Germany, playing no less than 25 concerts. The single “This is my Direction” went on rotation at P3 and once again Yellowish got at very positive press. The album was mixed by Carsten Heller (Nephew, Spleen United etc.).
Yellowish will play a few concerts with their new songs and later enter the studio to record their third album. The decision of who will be the producer or where the recordings will take place has not yet been decided.
