  • Bio

As the springtime sun peers into the western Pennsylvania landscape, the woods, fields, and wetlands overflow with summer life once again. A rebirth occurs as young animals are born and wild flowers bloom. Alongside limestone-spring-fed fens and bogs, small yellow lady slipper orchids bud and then blossom, sharing with us a portrait of birth, growth, and life. Likewise, as the artistic and musical visions of these four Pennsylvania natives has been fused together, a unified body of music has bloomed into Yellow Lady Slipper. Childhood friends Sean Corbett, Brian Lightner, Josh Milligan, and Bill Smith have been reunited in their home state after a decade of gigging with countless bands, in countless cities. This folk rock foursome uses a rhythmic foundation woven with strands of engaging melodies to create a captivating harmony, not only with each other, but with the natural world around them. Their music moves, and -- like a spring feeding Pennsylvania wetlands -- plants itself in the milieu of every listener. Yellow Lady Slipper can be found sharing their music at pubs, clubs, and festivals, in your stereo, or maybe in your backyard. Experience the Slipper.
