HISTORY:
At a young age Yeti was fascinated with beats. Although he thoroughly enjoyed skateboarding and growing up in the California sun, the Yeti always wanted to make music. Starting with piano at the age of 5, then guitar at 9, this little hairy Bigfoot knew his destiny. At thirteen , the Yeti had a punk band, Slimer. At eighteen, that band was signed and had his first touring experience on the 1999 Van’s Waped Tour alongside Eminem, Blink-182, Black Eyed Peas, and more… Good times, but eventually the band broke up. Yeti began to focus on recording and producing music. Yeti got into Dub/Reggae music and started recording with a new band called Ginger Maker featuring Adam Topol of Jack Johnson on drums and producer Koool G. Murder of the Eels on bass. He also stared producing reggae instrumentals around that time and, later, recorded many top Jamaican artists like Jr. Reid, Yellowman, Sizzla and Anthony B as well as develop local West Coast reggae artist like Turtleman, Mr. Maaly, and Israel Joseph I (Bad Brains/Solutionaries). Lifelong fan of Hip-Hop the Yeti has seized the opportunity to work with classic artists such as Kool Keith, Fatlip (of the Pharcyde), and the notorious Bushwick Bill (of the Getto Boys). Being interested different genres of music, the Yeti began to create original Mash-UP material out of the various songs recorded at his studio… Yeti Beats. Looking Mash Up new genres and make more volumes of Yeti Beats as his repertoire of artist expands as well as produce more beats and bands in the coming year, foreword forever is the Yeti motto.
