YETI vs YETI is a Chicago-based 2-piece drums & bass band with Brendan Joyce - bass/vocals of KB DUO & Dave Z Marsalek - drums/vocals/electronix of SPIZM / DOPPLER SHIFT / The DjM Trio
Brendan and David starting playing together as a result of NYE Party 07/08. Since June 08 the duo paired following the completion of their previous drum & bass duos, Spizm and KB duo. Yeti vs Yeti experiments on the fringes of live jungle, hardcore, and melodic groove, incorporating electronics, voice-manipulating delays & the power of 2, in order to broadcast a powerful emotional message of the will to survive against struggle within a decaying cityscape.
Think a blend of Squarepusher hanging out with Refused inspired by the likes of Morphine, Muse, At the Drive In, Flaming Lips, and Fugazi.
