Using hip-hop as his medium, the Iron Sheik relays informed views on the Palestinian movement for independence, the war on terrorism, US foreign policy in general, the Arab world, and growing up Arab-American. Since releasing his first album, 'Camel Clutch 2003,' he has toured nationally, and performed internationally.
He dropped a second album, 'Yet We Remain,' in the fall of 2004. He is working currently on a major project.
Media as diverse as CNN, the New York Times, BBC, Rolling Stone (France), the Daily Star (Lebanon), and Egypt's Nile TV covered the Sheik's work.

When the Virginia Tech shooting happened in the United States about a year ago, many people posted black-ribbon-vt pictures on their facebook/myspace profiles which spread the word and caused more awareness of it. Similar black ribbons were used in other tragic incidents.
Thus, I made this simple Gaza black ribbon for use on facebook, so that people with Western contacts could help raise awareness of this human massacre. What do you think of that idea? Can you please put it up on your blog and encourage readers to spread the word as well please?
It is really unfortunate because here in the United States, not a single word was mentioned about the situation in Gaza in any of the major news networks. Not a single word. Nothing!! None of my colleagues know that anything is happening in Gaza at all.
happy belated birthday baby! doesn't look like this is the best way to get at you...i want to call right now but your number is not in my new phone.. you still got my number??
islam-rap-project needs musician to recitate the holy qur'an
welcome to rap4islam. we want to recitate the holy qur'an in english in a rap-version. the holy qur'an has 606 pages. it is easy to understand that i am not able to do it alone. i want you to help me, help the people who can't read and help yourself by doing good things. this project is non-comercial. first we need musicians which would like to rap. you don't have to be a star or a perfect rapper. you might be also a soul or funk musician. you can also be a friend of my friends. it is open for everyone. so tell it everyone. after having enough musicians you choose a sura (a part of the holy qur'an) to rap. for this we all will use the same translation of the holy qur'an in english. if more than one person or group wants to rap the same sura we will find a solution together. insha'allah we will reach it soon as possible to transport the intelligence to those who need it.
if you or a friend would like to rap the holy qur'an please send a message to me.
Thanks for adding us. Your support is much appreciated.
What do you think of these newly discovered crime scene photos (viewed at Abu-Jamal-News.com)?
I have been personally contacting every media outlet I could find and still the mainstream media has completely ignored the story. Many independent media outlets have covered it, but the only independent outlet that has actually published one of the photos is the national Black newspaper, The SF Bay View (click here).
This is just the latest episode in a long history of corporate media bias (and arguably racism) towards Mumia and other political prisoners.
How does she get away with posting this as her profile picture? http://profile.myspace.com.index.fuseaction.user.viewprofile.friendid.1702173.mcthyg.cn/
