When Alex Foster (vocals), Jeff Beaulieu (guitar), Sef (guitar), Ben Lemelin (bass), Miss Isabel (vocals and keys) and Charles Moose Allicy (drums) got together to form Your Favorite Enemies in 2006, they decided to manage every single aspect of the band's career based on their community values and their "do it yourself" attitude. Already known for their commitment towards human rights, Foster being a fervent spokesperson for Amnesty International and a passionate youth speaker, Your Favorite Enemies' distinctive blend of dirty and polished types of melodic textures and their introspective and empowering lyrics instantaneously attracted musical fanatics from all over the world, who organically and spontaneously turned their passion for the band into an incredible multitude of street teams, communities, fan sites and forums emerging in every major city on the planet.
Therefore, inspired by such astounding support and inundated by an impressive number of requests to buy Your Favorite Enemies’ nowhere-to-be-found music, the 6 musicians decided to create the label Hopeful Tragedy Records in April 2007 in order to offer the self-produced 5-song EP and fan-exclusive "And If I Was To Die In the Morning… Would I Still Be Sleeping With You"; released on June 1st, for only $10 worldwide, shipping included. However, facing a strong reluctance and a major lack of support from the band's former advisers, who doubted that any potential success would come out of such a daring operation, the musicians kept their vision of honoring their fans' loyalty with a ridiculously low and worldly-standardized cost for anyone wishing to purchase their EP, from Montreal to Tokyo.
Since many people were expecting a monumental flop and a damaging move for the band's career, the decision to create a record label in order to sell their EP via their own online store turned out to be the determinant turning point for Your Favorite Enemies. The Montreal musicians ended 2007 with more than 30 thousand copies sold of their EP, a first European promotional headlining tour, unbelievable coverage by major international media, the creation of Hopeful Tragedy Records' multimedia branch dedicated to the development of new web initiatives and the production of a weekly podcast show on "YFE-TV"; different elements turning Your Favorite Enemies into one of the most exciting new "Do It Yourself" bands to emerge from the non-traditional music model.
Needless to say that, if 2007 was a good indication of what the future had in store for Your Favorite Enemies, the following year turned out to be an undoubtedly interesting one for the 6 musicians from Montreal, who have been named as one of the top 5 bands to watch out for in 2008 by the Billboard Magazine; a quote which is hard to deny after the incredible success they had in 2008. Success which included being the first band ever to internationally broadcast a real-time live concert on their MySpace page, obtaining extraordinary success for their first Japanese tour, selling more than 60 thousand copies of their second album “Love Is A Promise Whispering Goodbye”, released in June 2008 on the band’s label, Hopeful Tragedy Records, and becoming the first band ever to write songs for the legendary video game franchise Final Fantasy.
Greatly empowered by the amazing support of their faithful fans, Your Favorite Enemies is already in the studio working on new songs for what they described as “a fantastic imaginary voyage” for their third album to be released worldwide in 2009.

I'm fine thanks, well first I had my 23rd birthday, well my twin brother did, I don't really celebrate my birthday. On the the day we had Guitar hero world tour, (ace lol) we decided to stay in with the family and a friend, and play guitar hero all day lol
Oh I might be going back to college, I have an interview with a careers adviser tomorrow, don't know what I'm going to do, maybe college might not be for me because I have no Idea what I want to do, maybe the careers adviser will help me with this

im good since the last time we spoke! just working away, playing guitar and going to band practise... pritty much my life at the moment... which is AWESOME! =]
cant really do much else as the weathers been terrible! =[ thunder and lightning and all sorts! haha but then it clears up, and it turns out beautiful! honestly, scottish weather is the most unpredictable ever!

Yes Billy Talent won a award at mmvas. Yes one day u should go there. Its the best when you have a wristband cause you get right close to the stage. It is cool even without one cause its like a big street party lol. I havn't been up to that much. Not really having a good time latley lol. I've been really bored almost everyday! lol my summer isn't the best so i can't wait for it to be over. I also don't have my job anymore so i'm sad about that :( when i had a job it kept me busy even tho i hated it lol. Now i'm just at home alot bored lol. still looking for a job lol.

I like helping others out and have done so so many times before putting myself first. At times it tires me and other times it doesn't, but what it does do is stops me from dealing with my own problems, and that in itself can be bad. I know that there are a lot of other people out there with bigger problems and been through a lot more than me, I feel that I just can't be myself without somebody saying something or judging me for it. It's been like that for years. The times I can be my true self is when nobody is around or watching then the good things that I am capable of truly come out and shine, just look at my drawings for example. It takes me a long time to start to come out of my shell and then when something happens it's back to square one and even harder to come back out of it. To me my skills/qualities that I have if I show then I feel like look at me look at me when that's not the case at all. I think it all comes down to not being appreciated for so long and I have done so much that people have taking for granted & don't. It feels like I am trying to prove myself over and over and it's really tiring and exhausting mentally and physically to the point where I have to be by myself. The weather is pretty good it was lashing down with rain yesterday, it's been alright today i think lol
I will check out the video as soon as I can (won't be tonight though as it's a bit late right now =])

I missed my Pre Group session. I didnt know I had an appointment. I got no letter of phone call from them saying I got an appointment. LOL. They might of rang me when I was at the hospital.
I've got an appointment with my counseller next tuesday anyway i will get it sorted then. I will let you know How I get on.
I started my singing lesson last night LOL. This is going to sound silly but I found Something On YouTube LOL. There is a woman on there who is a professional singer from Australia. She videos her self and everything she is very help full. I will go and see one face to face when I can have the courage lol. I feel like the lion from the Wizard of Oz lol. :D
My mum is doing great thank you. Her feet are abit swollen still but she is happy as anything. LOL Bless her.

Had a fun couple of weeks in May, down in Orlando, doing the whole themepark thing with family. No more vacations planned yet, but hoping to get away late September somewhere.
As for gigs, they seem to be stacking up at the moment...done Hinder and Buckcherry shows recently, and a few more lined up for July/August, starting with The Electric Boys on Thursday.

sorry i have a habit of getting way to excited way to easily hahaha and she is she's always there when i need to talk to someone :) i love her LMAO and we met through our friends they have alot of parties so we started talking :) they are great shes coming over my dads on friday and were going to wwatch a few movies :) and awwwh thanks hahaha but narrh i dont really think of being beautiful hahaha am just a plain jayne really hahaha
yeah i cant wait to start it though but am not going for another year :( but awh right a only ever go out when anyone has money thoguh so its usually once a week and usually on gay noight hahaha was ment to go out tonight but i couldnt be arsed lmao but awh wow that is amazing i usually forgett straihgt away unless i have photos hahaha

Thanks Maggie.....Means a lot that I still have support. I find it difficult to be alone, as I know that I am a social creature....But friends always let me down, then I try to get myself girlfriends and they always have boyfriends. I know that there will be someone out there for me, but the honest truth is I've been alone for as long as I can remember. At my age now, I should have at least had a couple girlfriends......Well, I don't want to bore you with my story.
I'm glad that you checked out my tattoo, and I am stoked at how well it's progressing. Because I am an active person, I'm always exercising, I don't find time to get much of my tattoo done because I always have to let the tattoo heal and I like to be active as I said, so it counteracts the necessity to rest when I get my tattoo done. Plus I pay £70 p/h to get my tatt done, so I have to save weeks before I get it done as well.

and yea on saturday im of to the isle of man till next friday and the in august i go to greece for 2 weeks its going to be great goin to the isle of man on the bike with my family ang my girlfriend and tour round the island, and when i got to greece im goin with my girlfriend and her family, and we even get our own appartment!! haha how cool is that lols, one thing is though, im ssoo guna miss my bass!!! lols, ive been haveing a bit of a breakthrough today with it to, just as im going away lols,
