What’s next for you? Are you out of high school and looking for a way to draw closer to the Lord? Are you between eighteen and twenty-five, not married, but committed to Jesus?
This could be next for you! Internship, you say, “what in the world is internship?” Youth For Truth has a four month internship program, where you will totally be stretched in your relationship with Jesus as you focus on your future. Your first four month semester is all about you growing and maturing in your walk with Christ. You will develop your quiet-times daily, attend Bible Studies regularly, bringing you to a better understanding of how amazing God really is! Your personal prayer life will be expanded as you find yourself and your fellow interns uniting in prayer together. Your desire to share Jesus with this dieing world will also increase as you learn how to share your faith one-on-one straight out of the word of God, or through a gospel tract. You will also learn to share through dramas while doing outreaches.
After completing this semester you are eligible to join our YFT leadership team on an overseas Vision Experience (mission trip), or reenrollment into our second semester.
Second semester will be a time of hands on ministry. Along with your spiritual growth, you will actually be working along side of the YFT staff in running the ministry developing skills in our Media Department, or Graphic Art. You might be expressing yourself in your creative writing, or communicating through our web site and Myspace. You will be booking and developing our Invasion to youth groups. You might even get an opportunity for public speaking at an outreach! It’s a busy four months no doubt, but you’ll find yourself equipped with vision for how you might serve Christ in your future.
Third Semester: As you return for another four months, you will most likely be packing your bag for a Vision Experience trip if you haven’t already been on one. If you choose, you will be on your way to Africa, Chile, Philippines, or Russia. Your work from the last two semesters will continue on as well, and now you might have the opportunity to travel to a few conferences or concerts with our promotional team.
As you complete your three semesters of Youth For Truth’s Internship, you have had a good look at how God can use you in his plan to redeem mankind. You will have spent one year of your life being stretched and developed to serve Jesus in any way he desires, at anytime he calls you, anywhere he takes you. You’ve been mobilized!
