Oakcliff stand up! It's our time 2 shine, but the only way for us to shine is to stick together.
The Yung Guerillas (Y.G) was officially formed after the fatal/tradgic accident on June 1, 2005 involving two members of the group(Donte and Chris). The guerillas hustled in the streets of Oak Cliff and rapped to pass time, but never intended to make a profit doin it. Everybody in the click rapped for fun, but living in the fast lane there wasn't time to pursue it.
After the deaths of Donte and Chris, Ray Paul Masssaun took it upon his self to unite the hood and find a better way, and this was through music. This started a transition in the hood where everybody began to realize what was most important in life. This alliance through the name Y.G spread all over Oak Cliff and Dallas. Y.G represents the guerillas in the struggle trying to make a better way.
In the fall of 2005, T. Nick hooked up with super-producer SirraH "Money" who was searching for new talent in the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex. At that time the Yung Guerillas were releasing mixtapes with K. Ross, and once SirraH "Money" heard the voice of Ray Paul Massaun, he was sold. They began making hood classics immediately. Currently Ray is finishing up his album and should hit the stores this year.
From trappin to rappin, Y.G is now one of the hottest acts out of Dallas(Triple D Bitch!!), Texas. Y.G is now all over, from Highland Hills, Lancaster,
Agg-Town, Garland, Funky-Town all over the DFW metroplex. There are too many hoods to name on the DFW map.....Oakcliff........Y.G.
