Influences
A special mention has to go out to the one and only Ryan T without whom this wouldn't have got as far as it is now. All you haters, doubters, lovers, fans, friends and others influence this enough to keep the dream alive and keep us writing about it.

YnoT
Experience It For Yourself (Click Below To Find Out More).
In essence YnoT was not formed or created it was born, brought into the world
kicking and screaming in the year 1971.
YnoT is the one man band
that hails from Herne Bay in the United Kingdom, if there was one genre
to describe this band it wouldn’t or doesn’t exist yet. Some say punk,
some say rock, but whatever it is every influence that has ever affected
YnoT musically or personally has been crammed in to create a distinctive
and very unique style and sound. And the one man behind this big
noise is the shy yet charismatic Tony Healy a singer songwriter and
musician of more than 20 years. Tony always saw himself as a songwriter
having started to pen his thoughts at the age of sixteen accumulating an
impressive catalog of work by the time he was twenty. But the lure of
rock n roll was never far behind and the thought of turning his lyrics
into real live pieces of work was beginning to take a hold, the
virtually self taught guitarist and bassist was now gripped by rock n
roll. During the 90’s Tony played and gigged with many great local
musicians including Northolt bassist Ryan Trotman (SlackPlanet) &
drummer Ian Atherton (Spike Tongue), performing under names such as Raw
Jelly and TaT. But by 2005 Tony decided to lay down roots and go it
alone throwing the name YnoT into the rock n roll ring. The CD ‘Tony
Healy’ came screaming out of the speakers in 2005, though not credited
to YnoT this was in theory the begging, this was YnoT. Not the best
recording by any means but it showcased everything YnoT was about,
catchy hooks and even catchier lyrics, as reviews showed on the
brilliant tune ‘You Wanted Happy’ …
Intro delivers a bloody, punkish punch in the gut, Crunchy, punky
intro, riffs kind of reminiscent of the Buzzcocks, This band comes off
as sort of a psychedelic Sex Pistols. powerful intro, then its a punk
vocal with an infectious melody behind it.
The good vibe YnoT was receiving for this album prompted them to send
the best tracks to various small record companies and by mid 2005 they
had signed a deal with Chromium records. The song you wanted happy
soon appeared on the Chromium compilation album ‘The future of music’
followed by a single release ‘take my rose’. The Chromium project was
short lived as it turned out to be one big scam. Never to be held back
YnoT soon released the EP ‘4 You’, again it wasn’t the best recording
and featured three original tracks and for the first time YnoT put their
own unique take on two cover versions. After the release of ‘4 You’
YnoT continued to record new songs which culminated in the release of
‘Sexland’ in 2006, an altogether more stylish and polished sound YnoT
where finally starting to find their feet.
This is so retro I feel this may have been recorded 20 plus years
ago. It reminds me of T-Rex meets the New York Dolls very early glam
rock. felt like a My Sharona intro.. kind of an Iggy pop feel meets the
cars or something.. with a bit of country blues guitar in there.. very
interesting, unique. This has a very rock touch like it seems like the
musicians are into 70s rock bands like the stones, maybe also a little
doors in it because of the way the singer sings. kinda rockabilly gutter
style. YnoT where back again, but the best was yet to come. As
ever YnoT never sat back too long and in 2007 the EP ‘Life’ came
crashing into our lives. A brilliant collection of songs more rounded
and polished music wise than previous releases, we where now starting to
hear the real YnoT.
