Alien Left Hand -- What the critics say:

"At last a follow up to Janette Mason's sparkling debut as leader. Alien Left Hand ....was well worth the wait…” Production **** Performance**** -- BBC Music Magazine

“…an album fizzing with fresh ideas and delights, an exhilarating musical journey .. with brilliantly original writing and inspired playing…” -- Helen Mayhew

"Every track from the rhythmic ‘NY Cab Ride’ and restless ‘4 Wheel Drive’ to the brooding ‘Mae’s Song’ has a terrific hook but it’s the way Mason switches tempo and moods that makes ALH great fun.

I have recorded a new CD to raise money for Lindsey Lodge Hospice in North Lincolnshire.

The hospice is an amazing place, they cared for my Mother in her later stages of secondary breast cancer offering both day care and then full time care in the last week of her life. They also provided amazing care for my family & friends.

http://www. lindseylodgehospice. org. uk/

The CD is due to be released in January & will be available direct from myself, more details of how to order upon release.

I am funding the project as my donation to the lodge, therefore all money raised from the sale of the CD will be donated to Lindsey Lodge.

I am truly indebted to the wonderful musicians and friends below who gave their time and expertise for free to help me realise this goal.

Adam Linsley - Trumpet & Flugel
Richard Pardy - Tenor Saxophone
Rick Laughlin - Keyboards
Phil Laughlin - Bass Guitar
Steve Vintner - Drums
Mim Grey - Vocals

Recorded and Mixed by Paul Fawcus at JazzMouse studios

Photos & Artwork - Adil Oliver

Oh my gosh, I couldn't believe it about the Black Swan when someone told me yesterday - how awful!!

I'm not overly-familiar with York pubs, but will do my best to keep my ear to the ground in case something comes up!
