the "YokoMono" music project is a collection of songs that i have been writing over the last few years while in the band "Chango Jackson". one or two of these songs occasionally were heard at a "CJ" show, but they never had much of a life on the setlist. After the band seemed to come to an end, i decided it was the perfect opportunity to put together a record containing all of my music that had been sitting on Chango's back burner. i called my friend Vladimir Castellanos (Virgenes 5, Super Naco) and with his help i was able to bring these songs to life. we have been collectively writing and recording for most of 2007. i will hopefully have the album completed by the winter and have an early 2008 release. in the meantime, enjoy the tunes here on myspace. see you at the shows. peace.
